If we get the prototype Cloudrunner out now, we can fix its bugs and send it out as soon as we can afford it, with more chances to fix bad revise rolls.

Cloudrunner is priority #1. Once we have a prototype hull, we can revise it until we can buy weapons for it, then we can kick Kasgyre where it hurts. Also, +1 for adding selects to the prototype.

Agreed, so 2 or 3 dice? We only need 5 progress for the prototype, so 2 dice should be enough, or do we want to spend another ore to help ensure we get the prototype now?

Also, the squad at Miner's Folly will be finishing up their reclamation this turn, so ore won't be as tight as it has been.

I'd prefer to chance it with 2, giving us 1 die for a counter-transport tactic, 1-2 for fixing the Cloudrunner, and perhaps 1 for making the select-grade crystals cheaper.

I prefer the certainty of 3, leaving 2 to fix problems...

I think 2 dice gives us a 5/6 chance of success.

New Project : Ihlungwe Webbing

The Ihlungwe pawtern uses double layer folded webbing to gather more aethericpower over a smaller area. The high density connection also helps provide resilience to aetheric overloads.  This ensures the ship has more power at it's disposal while not being as vulnerable as it would have been with greater reams.

Wait a moment.

How are our marines reporting back if all the ships in the area are destroyed?

Yeah, 5/6 odds of succeeding with 2 dice. It's more if we want to guarantee it or not, as this can't really wait too long, we probably aren't going to be able to kill their corvette with just skiffs. (They aren't going to be stupid and send it out without escorts)

They sent a letter.

Don't ask how. They just did.

It doesn't matter how blockaded you are, it doesn't matter if you're alone on ship with no functional propulsion, hanging desperately in the mist waiting for rescue, you can send a letter. As long as you have the appropriate stamps, and include an accurate return address, the sheer power of the Wreth bureaucracy will deliver the letter.

...

Seriously, just assume they can do it somehow, but that it isn't something you can build a tech off of. It's slow, and there's a long delay in reports, so you can probably improve it with actual tech, but it's always there.

I like the webbing, but we can't afford it.

Yup, but it's still something to add to the book of ideas (Good alternative to that one idea where we sprinkle tiny capacitor crystals throughout the webbing (That idea is reliant on us designing capacitor crystals...))

The thing is, we need to get a functional Cloudrunner hull with all the things it needs to be complete ready to be assembled by next turn. We can't really wait that long with this, we need to contest their corvette with one of our own.

Woah, woah, we only need five guys.
Dice after the prototype are Lost.
Three is being incredibly cautious, and possibly wasteful
