So you're going to have sword-and-crossbow overlap?

Maybe do 1.5 squads of swords and 1.5 squads of crossbows, with the extra squad of swords (total) being sent to the local spire, or to the spire with dangerous wildlife?
Neither of our local spires seem to have heavy dangerous wildlife, at least from the descriptions of the conditions... (Three Captains is described as being Heavily Infested, for instance)

(Draignean, can we assume our troops come with simple knives or are they stuck with what we outfit them with, the clothes on their backs, and their fists?)

No.
I will say that, for spires in your own territory, your own men will not be threatened even if their left in their skivvies.

No, wait, I was wrong. It's the beefed up suppressor that was as good as our swords. The pincushion is apparently somewhere between the old and new suppressor models.

Excellent! They can be sent out naked and afraid then.

Wait, you mean the 2 local demispires we don't have?.... I suppose it does make sense, lore-wise we had them but they got raided by Kasgyr, so not enough time has passed for a hostile wildlife presence to settle in, and we would know where most of the environmental hazards were due to prior ownership...

Any objections to editing out the pincushion fire teams for squads G and H (the two who are being sent to reclaim the local demispires) on my plan? (Or re-allocating them?)

By the time Kasgyr reaches them- if they ever do- pincushions will probably not be enough to save a single unit from their assault. So, yeah, they're basically unarmed surveyors. Take their bows away.
Meanwhile, I think spending 6 silk on shirts for squad commanders is a minor cost, which might preserve essential leadership in the face of Kasgyri aetherweapons.

Alright then, making the edit. Any more yes/nos to the silk vests for commanders? (Currently 2 yes (Nuke/milo) 0 no)

Wait, what do you mean "Aethersilk Vests". Who is getting the vests? Just the squad commanders? Also, are you voting for the rest of Jilladilla's plan or not?

Ah. We cannot afford to give everyone silk vests. That would cost 16x6=96 silk. We have 22 to play with. We can't even afford to outfit every team leader (5x6=30). We can give our squad commanders silk vests (1x6=6), or give no one silk vests. Those are our options.

I don't think anyone has expressed any dislike for the plan, So now we wait for Kasgyre to get off their butts.

Come on guys, we need to argue more, our bureaucratic credibility is being injured!

I think we're just agreed, as milo just said.

No alternatives = default agreement.

Alright, you failures of bureaucracy, find some objections! Come up with reasons to do nothing for a turn! What sort of terrible failure is this?!

You're right. Devil's advocate must be played in order to explore the flaws of a plan.

So I'm going to go on the 'Equal force sent to both spires' issue. We have the potential of losing half of our fleet, or worse, it being captured.
15 ships to 5 will make this war tip alarmingly in their favour, and all they need to do to cause this is a very simple and predictable move.
