To be fair, I totally screwed my numbers too.
Whilst I thought I was making the sky-skiff cheaper, turns out I was making it more expensive.
Possibly over the threshold expensive.

Maybe we SHOULD be trying to increase one of our productions. Masks might allow a revision to give a bonus to our miners?

It looks like the COWS cost for my revision is 113.61
So +13, ouch.

With just the SUCKERPUNCH it costs 103.20, despite costing 1 less crystal. I don't like this system...

It's 103.20 with the SUCKERPUNCH and an IS lift.
Just suckerpunch is 96-ish.

Sure enough. I need to go run the numbers on my revision again...

Ok, my revision is actually 106.67, much better. Still, maybe just the cannon?

I bet if we designed a SUCKERPUNCH foundry**, they'd effectively cost less COWS, and we'd probably get a slight bonus for other cannons.

** And get good roles, so nevermind, it'll never happen.

Better bet would be to lower itshana cost... Try for more efficient refining of the needed chemicals this time.

I can't support that until we've increased our knowledge of crystal creation.

How about an itshana process rework design? Kill two birds with one stone...

Proposal would be something about gaining a better understanding of crystal growth, with an aim to either cheapen the itshana process or make it obsolete.

Uhm.

Guys.

I don't know if you realize it, but the current vote is going to spend all our dice. Is that intentional?

PLACE will hopefully only use 2, one way or another. If you vote to use 2 rather than 3 we will definitely have one left for a revision to... Something.

I really don't think now is the time for new designs, guys.

One ore is worth it, I think, to make getting the PLACE far more likely. Of course, we shouldn't do that if we are also doing a design. Which is one of the reasons we shouldn't do a design.
Others include the need to conserve dice with which to finish the Windrider.

So, to outline my plan for the entire turn.
Design phase: 3 dice into PLACE. Possibly 1 into Windrider.
Revision phase: 1 die to create basic barricades, 1 to create a counter-flanking tactic allowing us to use those barricades to guard our flanks.
Strategy phase: Send Herbie to TC loaded with 2 squads of Marines (cutlass (all), gauntlet (fireteam), pincushions (fireteam x3), makeshift barricades) and a PLACE. It is also possible that the barricades would take up a TU by themselves, but that still works, cos the PLACE is only 1 TU. Send both skiffs from Wreth to escort it.

What do we do with the Windrider. Do we call it back for repairs, or do we let it be?
