Turns out we did only have five dice,  so we didn't have a die left to bank after all that project work.

I back and had a look,  the crossbow costs two ore and two wood for one pre squad,  whilst a flintlock rifle costs three ore. We could reasonably reduce the cost of the crossbow by one,  but pushing for more would be too much I imagine.

Anyway,  I vote for revising the medium crystal to not desync.

It is possibly to resynch the crystals, using a complex process requiring specific tools - impossible in a field situation.

We could revise the process, tools, and/or crystal itself to be easier to resychronize in a field situation.

A design to consider the next time the design phase rolls around:
Aetheric Sensor
The aetheric sensor consists of numerous small strands of silk pointed in an array of directions. The power of each small strand is used to move a single needle for each strand.
