So, you guys think you're done enough for me to run the turn?

Fine by me. I'll come back tomorrow and I'll pluck out your eyes if there aren't significant changes.

Alright, NAV, your eyes are mine.

Strengthened Bronzewood
Efficacy: 4
Pushing bronzewood further than before meets with moderate success as growers refine their processes and engineers experiment with the curing treatments. Overall, thanks to their efforts, the hardness bonus of bronzewood has risen from 35% to 50%.

Bronzewood Witch-Hunter
Efficacy: 6
The Engineer's are giddy with excitement that they're returning to the Witch-Hunter project- with a mandate in hand that they can make it as fancy as they want as long as they don't use metals. It's still a challenge to preserve the power of the steel-armed Witch-Hunter using wooden materials, but through slightly longer arms, laminated materials, and the increased strength of the bronzewod, the engineers are able to make a metal-free version of the Witch-Hunter without loss of precision. The beautification of such bows is an art form of its own, and, despite the lack of metal, the Witch-Hunter is an ordinantly beautiful weapon.

Bronzewood Witch-Hunter: 5 wood to outfit a team of four, 20 wood to outfit a full squad. An all wood version of the traditional Witch-Hunter, utilizing bronzewood in order to maintain its predecessor's lethal stopping power. Aside from generally being more artistic and having a slightly longer span, there is no functional difference between this and its parent weapon.

A couple days ago I was replacing the muffler on my dads jeep. Even though I was wearing safety glasses, some pieces of rust manages to snipe the small gap between my glasses and my face and end up in my right eye. A few hours later I went to the hospital and they took the rust out with a q-tip and washed it out with saline and by some miracle the eye wasnt scratched. Anyway if I'd known you were gonna take it I woulda rubbed that eye and ground the rust right in.

Quote from: A Production Plan?
Production:
Buy topaz VS core.
Buy topaz trim pair.
Buy topaz S lift
Buy a bronzewood viper hull.
Buy 8 kettleguns.
Buy 3 trim web pairs (+bronzewood refit).
Buy 2 light copper platings.
Buy a small core.
Buy a small lift.
Buy 3 trim pairs.
Buy 6 silk reams.
Total cost: 29 crystal, 26 ore, 12 silk, 28 wood.

Transfer everything (including the name) from Viperidae's old hull to the new bronzewood hull and complete it.
-8 kettleguns
-1 topaz trim crystal pair
-3 trim web pairs
-1 trim crystal pair
-light copper plating

Rename the obsolete viper hull Escort Viper One. Barely equip it.
-Small core.
-Small lift.
-2 trim crystal pairs.
-6 silk reams.
-1 comm officer.
Its job is to escort transports and act as a shield for them. Definitely worth the cost if it saves a transport and its cargo.

Deployment:
Canary scouts at TC.
Anguis, Ophidian, and two Natalies blockade the spire with coordinated fire.

I am not sure what to do with our transport. Sending it to burned mountain via Unfinished with a single natalie escort is very risky. Sending it to burned mountain via Three Captains would take 3 turns. It could wait a turn for more escorts. (Meatshield viper, 2 Natalies, and One-Eyed Will. Maybe Viperidae.)

If anyone has a better name suggestion for the escort viper please name it. Is it worth a latin snake name? Still a viper.

I'd rather not field undergunned Vipers, there's too many resources spent on them to just be meatwoodshields.

With a small core, all that is going to happen is it getting shot by raiders followed by the death of whatever it was escorting.

I guess lets just waste the old hull in a stockpile forever then.

With a small core, all that is going to happen is it getting shot by raiders followed by the death of whatever it was escorting.
It literally doubles the survivability of the transport. Transports have survived under fire before, or almost survived but been shot down, so it would make a difference. It would also be essentially an extra life against the flaming spitball.

Three Captains

A Wrethan skiff, skulking in the distance behind cloud cover, is detected by a blockade patrol. There's no way to tell how long its been watching and sending reports, but the blockading vessels do succeed in running it down before it can flee. It's a near thing, however, and likely only possible because the skiff didn't realize it had been detected.

The Hive

Reports come in of cannon reports in the distance, and flashes of aetherlight are reported in the clouds on the horizon. The reports are disturbingly synchronous with the launches of resource shipments. The fears of piracy are confirmed when several shipments never reach their destinations. Wrethan pirates have moved into the area around the Hive.

Resources Suppressed: 2 ore, 1 wood,  2 silk

The Glowcove

Both the Natalie VI and the One-Eyed-Will arrive to support the transport at the glowcove.

Spire Kasgyre

The Natalie VII as a helluva maiden voyage. She's christened, crewed, and sent forth. Wherepon her spotter immediately declares that he's spotted an unusual speck that vanished behind a cloud high on the horizon. In good humor, the captain moves to investigate and calls a full alert- just to test his men.

Much to his surprise, the Natalie VII finds herself bow to bow with a Wrethan spy-skiff after traversing the cloud. The resulting battle is intense, but the pre-emptive alert of the Natalie VII's captain wins the day. The Wrethan vessel is reduced to cinders, and the Natalie survives without a scratch.

In addition, two more squads of marines have been produced.

It is now the beginning of the year 373 AR.

It is now the design and project maintenance phase. You have 6 dice left to spend.

I think there was a small mistake, since One-eyed Will should have been traveling from Burned Mountain, and Natalie IV from Kasgyr. Neither from Three Captains, and neither via the hive?
