Actually, this does bring up a question- how much book-knowledge should we be allowing ourselves to bring into our designs?
I've just started reading it because of this thread (like I wouldn't have gotten to it anyway, considering my Butcherlust) but I don't want to start throwing out things like catman supersoldiers unless it's kosher.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Warriorborn were going to be a side effect of designs into improving marine efficacy. Basically you get told that a couple of your marines really stand out, and they've got... unusual physiological characteristics.

Warriorborn. Catbros and catgirls are canon to the Cinder Spires book series. They're strong, fast, bad lateral thinkers, and have a voracious metabolism. Also, just plain normal cats are highly intelligent and speak their own language.

Look, I had to cut out a paragraph from the conduct rules so that the OP would fit within the character limit. There's no time to explain.

I should note that (as yet I've seen) they just have slit eyes and big appetites.
No cute catboi anime ears. Just probably a little genetic tampering somewhere in the pre-apocalyptic.

Wait, this is based off of a book series? I've been giving the gm so much credit on his world building. Lol.

So, we hear that you're having trouble deciding what to do.
Remind me again how we're the ones with the inefficient bureaucracy that takes forever to get things done?

Get your act together, Kasgyre. Some of us have spires to invade liberate.

We have an efficient bureaucracy, they have inefficient feudalism.

Taunting them for rethinking their strategy seems to be edging away obviously-IC, inoffensive jests.

Actually we aren't feudal. Monarchy yes but one that's more... centralised. Besides, numbnuts voted for strategy in the wrong phase.

To be fair, production and deployment are usually in the same phase, it's just this turn that they are separate.

So how long will it be before Kasgyre is ready? It's kinda boring over here in the land of the properly prepared...

Yeah. We've even had time to fill out all the proper forms, in triplicate. Do you KNOW how long that takes without printing presses? You have to wait for the scribes to make the quires, bind up the scrolls, copy things out, before you can fill out the form. Three times per form. THREE!

Not to mention waiting for the ink to dry so they can be filed properly.

See, if you don't dry the ink just right it gets all over the other forms in a stack or scroll. This bureaucracy stuff is more complicated than you might think...
