...and it ended in failure!

Declare War on Romania.

Begin Research on the Oil Revolution.

Create fleets from 24 and 22 (in Black Sea).

Move 3 armies from 20, 3 armies from 14, 2 armies from 87, 2 armies from 19 to 38, all via 20.

Move 1 army from 22 to 20.
Move 1 army from 10 to 14.

Rebuild whatever is destroyed in 38. Build factories in 11, 22 and 23.

@Soviet Union:

The Soviet Juggernaut assaulted Romania, surely to get their oil fields! Almost half a million soldiers were put into the offensive, against mere 150.000 of Romanian defenders.

Despite the heroic Romanian resistance that saw numerous Soviet divisions annihilated, the Soviets pressed on to Sophia, their mighty tanks and waves of conscripts overwhelming every pocket of resistance till the capital finally fell.

Quote from: Loyalty roll in #39

Transylvania remains loyal to Romanian government!

King Carol II and his advisors were safely evacuated to Transylvania, establishing a provisional headquarters in the region.

---

Dear listeners of BBC Radio, this is Richard Dawson, and you're listening to the Monthy Review programme.

On the night of 1st January, the Danish troops have crossed the Oresund strait and invaded Kingdom of Sweden. The rapid advance and sudden atack caught the Swedes off-guard, resulting in a spectacular victory of the Danish Forces.

Prosperous Poland has found itself attacked by the Czechoslovak armies, with a officla state of war declared against it by the German Reich as well. The Poles have mounted a successful resistance against the Czechoslovak offensive, albeit have not counterattacked.

Soon after Denmark took control of Sweden, the Finland have declared war against the Danes, and entered the Swedish territory from the north. The division of Sweden has ended with both Finnish and Danish armies opposite from each other, and while a probable peace agreement is mediated via diplomats from Soviet Union, neither of the scandinavian countries have officially agreed to a cease-fire, remaining in the state of war.

There has been incident in Norway, whereas British contingents of troops were shelled by the overzealous and paranoid Norwegians. 'A training accident gone wrong', says Prime Minister Churchill, has ended in many British casualties and thorough souring of relations with Norway and some protests in British cities.

Due to imperialist policies of French cabinet, the Isle of Crete has been subjected to amphibious attack from Syria by French marines. It has failed and the Kingdom of Greece denounced the French, calling for opposition against the Republic and even offered to support those that would oppose France. Meanwhile, Belgium has been less successful and fell to the advancing French corps, and the city of Brussels was taken after several hours of artillery shelling.

Kingdom of Romania have entered closer ties with Republic of Czechoslovakia, but the official state ceremony has been interrupted by sudden entry of a mesenger bearing news that Soviet tank columns are rolling through the Romanian border. Outnumbered over 3 to 1, the Romanians nonetheless mounted a heroic defense of their homeland, causing hundreds of thousands of Soviet casualties. Ultimately, the Soviets have managed to breakthrough the final line of defenses and seized control of Romanian capital, Sophia, on the evening of 30th January. Just few hours earlier, King Carol along with his court and advisors have been evacuated to Transylvania, where they swore to avenge the fallen soldiers and retake Sophia on the earliest possibility.

This concludes the Monthly Review of January, dear listeners. Now, please indulge yourselves into some fine music by Vivaldi.

1 troop from territory 7 to territory 6
1 troop from territory 7 to territory 50 via railroad
2 troop from territory 51 to territory 50
1 ship from territory 1 to Norwegian Sea
1 troop from territory 1 to territory 6 via ship in Norwegian Sea
1 ship from Denmark strait to Baltic Sea

Build AA in territory 1
Build barricades in territory 7
Build barricades in territory 1

Propose Alliance to Finland and hope they don't just attack me again.  If they accept, use their airfields to support my invasion of Norway.

After talking to Germany via PM's, they confirmed that it's alright for me to take territory 50.

//As there is water crossing between 51 and 7, the troop there was moved via fleet to 50.

@Denmark&Iceland:

Once again the Norwegians find themselves attacked.

Quote from: Combat 2 in #6
Denmark (+1) vs Norway (+2):

Norway captured by Denmark!

And while the land attack failed, the attack by sea succeeded.

Military infrastructure was built in Sweden and Iceland, althought Iceland engineers were overworked and only managed to complete AA defenses there.

Invade 38 with two armies from 42 and two armies from 47.

I'd rather die on my feet than watch my allies fall to the Soviet Scourge.

Move 1 unit from 8 ->51 (If alliance is on only, do not invade)

Move 1 2 units from 8 ->15
Move 3 units from 15 ->16

I don't think I can build anything, keep researching.

Build railroad in 16 if I can?  Building looks like it comes before movement.

Edit: Looks like that alliance is indeed pending, orders changed.

We agreed to an alliance, IIRC, but to double check

Denmark agrees to an Alliance with Finland.

Thanks for not wiping out my capitol.

The alliance becomes official at the beginning of the next turn.  Pretty sure both of us agreed to it twice.
