Dale shrugs and goes through. No reason not to at this point.

Mira, having stayed silent all this time, walks through the portal.

That one guy in a jacket goes through, seeming a bit awkward in such close proximity to other students.

Vijaya moves through as well, looking at the device with a small measure of curiosity.

As soon as everyone either steps (or is hoisted, in a few cases) through and is clear of the portal, there is a harsh snapping sound and it ceases to exist.

"Wonderful. Now, if you'll just come in..." She walks through the double doors, pushing them open easily. Anyone else having to hold them open would also notice that they're a lot lighter than they appear, despite being solid wood.

Louis walks right behind her, relieved to be out of the heat.

She leads those assembled into a surprisingly modern waiting area - not quite glass and chrome, but certainly a step up from the medieval outside. To one side is a reception desk - currently unattended - and to the other, a comfortable-looking lounge. A corridor stretches forwards in front of them, behind two glass doors.

"Make yourselves at home in the lounge, while I fetch the Headmistress. I shouldn't be long, but there's biscuits and a coffee machine."

There are, indeed, biscuits, and a coffee machine.

Armis drifts towards the desk, examining the surface, looking at things behind it, and generally not being in the lounge like they're supposed to.

Louis goes to sit down in the lounge. If there is a single-occupant chair, he takes that one, but a sofa will do as well.

Dale goes over and inspects the "Biscuits".

Dale goes over and inspects the "Biscuits".

They are biscuits, cookies, sweet baked snacks. They are in various flavours. Some are coated with chocolate. Some have cream in the middle. Truly a wonderful foodstuff.

Armis drifts towards the desk, examining the surface, looking at things behind it, and generally not being in the lounge like they're supposed to.

The desk is remarkably clear for that of a receptionist. Nothing much besides a computer, a pot with a few pens and pencils in it, et cetera. The surface is a nice varnished wood. A swivel chair sits behind the desk.

"a coffee machine."

A girl with flowing, deep blue hair and equally blue eyes is abusing the coffee machine for all it's worth, albeit for what seems to be hot chocolate rather than actual coffee. It is truly a sight to see one person drink so much.

That one guy in a black jacket decides to eat a couple biscuits. So far, he has managed to avoid human (or demi-human as it may be) interaction.

The swivel chair finds itself being used by someone who is definitely larger than the intended occupants - assuming Armis' frame isn't too wide to even fit.

They're good biscuits.

The swivel chair finds itself being used by someone who is definitely larger than the intended occupants - assuming Armis' frame isn't too wide to even fit.

The poor swivel chair manages to stand up to the rigors of use by a sentient suit of armour, albeit with a lot of creaking. He does fit, but it's not really the ideal body-to-chair ratio.
