"Are you really sure you're the one at the keys though? Isn't there stuff you'd never do willingly?
Dale did have a nice hat.

"Well, yes, though I can imagine myself doing them if I really had to. I don't really follow, what does that have to do with it?"

Armis seems satisfied with Vijaya's explanation.

"If you can only act on preprogrammed directives, then how are you able to say that? That doesn't seem like something you would be pre-programmed to say."

"Then you're predesposed to not do those things for reasons you have no control over. Any time you feel emotions really, that's programming at work. And good work as well, millions of years of work to bring about the result."
Dale turns to Armis.
"Why not? The best way to make someone not believe in something is to provide evidence that would lead to doubt. Wizards have been doing it for years! I mean, imagine the problems it would cause if those nut cases in the vatican had any evidence of gods to further back up their claims? Or worse, Scientologists and their little tax evasion scheme."

The girl in the sundress who, up until now, has been content to leave the other students to their chit-chat, loses her smile, and follows it up with a frown.

She approaches, schooling her expression back into a smile.

"The first half of what you just said... it doesn't really seem right? At least not from what I know."

Dale shrugs.
"I'm a photographer and a wizard besides. The fuck do I know about No-Maj psychology."

"That's fair, I suppose."

The girl seems content with that answer, and lapses back into silence.

A rather loud sneeze can be heard nearby, drawing attention to another student standing away from the crowd, who was apparently trying not to draw attention to themself. Their body is covered mostly by a black hooded coat with an intricate gray design, and not any of their features are discernible.

Dale stares at her for a few seconds before moving so that she is between him and the gate to the castle. He considers the look of her for a few moments before looking down at his camera to fiddle with some things on it.

The girl looks at Dale.

"Erm... what are you doing?"

"Well, I'm thinking... you might look good in a picture."
Dale hardly looks up from his work to speak.

From the other side of the gate emerges a well-dressed young woman - only a little older than them, in fact - with the sort of smile you'd expect from a receptionist, simultaneously warm and cold. "Hello, students! I assume you're the new arrivals?"
