Armis has begun to roll around Louis instead.

"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But I know that that's me, and that's what matters."

"Okay. Can I spin, though? I'm gonna spin."

Armis spins.

Coda mutters something under his breath, vaguely comparing Armis to a 20 year old toddler.

"I'm bored. Is anyone else bored? When's orientation?"

"Hell if I know."

[SOLDIER First]

Armis spins their way over to Coda and stops dramatically by placing their feet flat on the floor. Strange; that usually doesn't work when other people tr

"I'm actually not 20, I'm 18. Ish. 18-ish."

Coda pauses for a moment, staring at Armis with a nonplussed expression.
"You're still naive enough to be a toddler."

[SOLDIER First]

"What a stupid thing to say!" Armis replies pleasantly.

[ironsnake345]

"How so, oh wise 18-year-old toddler?"

[SOLDIER First]

"First of all," Armis' voice inexplicably hardens for a moment, "don't call me a toddler again."

"Second, I'm obviously much less naive than even the most smart toddler. I know about chairs, and coffee machines, and schools, and magic, and social manners and stuff. Third, what do you mean by that? Do you mean I don't know about a lot of things (which is true)? Or that I'm not really wise, or that I don't have a lot of common sense? It's not clear what kind of naive you're talking about and I'm confused.

And fourth, you're about as mature as a toddler yourself for trying to insult me in such a broad and ineffective way."

Mei suddenly steps between Coda and Armis.
"Hey, hey, cool it! Coda, d'you mind not doing that? Armis, don't respond, okay?"

[SOLDIER First]

"Respond to what?"

Coda seems to have been surprised by the sudden hardness of Armis' voice. After staring at Mei for a moment, he steps aside to better speak with Armis and delivers his response.

"Uh... Right... To answer your question, I mean that you don't know about a lot of things. I mean, that's really the only one of those options that you've given me any reason to use. It's not like you've displayed a lack of wisdom, or common sense. Why would I insult your common sense with no evidence that it's lacking? That would just be stupid. Not to mention incredibly petty. Also,"
Coda turns to Mei.
"Would I mind not doing what now?"

[SOLDIER First]

"Then you can say that a lot more politely than comparing me to a toddler."
