Name: Louis Hollows
Maturity: 16 at time of death, a bit over half a year ago. Time will tell if undeath came with eternal life and/or youth, but it's too soon to say for sure.
Abnormality: Louis is mostly dead. Fortunately, 'mostly dead' means 'slightly alive'.

Appearance: The first thing of note anyone notices about Louis is his lifeless and deathly pale skin. The second thing of note, if he doesn't happen to be wearing a scarf as he usually does, is the permanent wound on his throat, a thin yet grotesque bruise. More commonly, he has grey, slightly sunken eyes and dark brown, neatly combed hair. He is thin and of slightly below average height, though his long arms and large hands are very well suited for playing the piano. He doesn't have much in the way of personal belongings, so he often wears the school uniform even on his free time, except on special occasions, though he adds a simple woollen scarf to it to hide his throat.

Personality: Louis was forced to grow quite independent in the years between the incidents, and easily falls to melancholy due to past traumas. However, he does try to hold hope for the future, knowing his trials are probably over. His voice sounds weaker than he is due to damage to his trachea, and he often wheezes and coughs after talking for a long time.

Backstory: Louis' life wasn't a very happy one. The first few years weren't too bad, for though his parents didn't have a lot of wealth, they made up for it in love, and he even discovered a love for the family heirloom piano around age 5. Granted, it was less playing it and more pressing random keys in the hopes of something nice sounding out, but it was enough for his mother to borrow some piano lesson books from the library and get him started on the hobby. At age 8, however, everything changed when his father lost his job and started drinking, becoming bitter and irritable at all times. Just a bit under a year later, he got physically violent. It didn't take long for the authorities to take him away, but this left Louis' mother badly depressed. Louis' afterschool life was mostly spent at friends' houses, and his time at home was by the piano, practicing and playing for his sad mother. Seven years of this quiet sorrowful life later, there was a knock on his door in the middle of the night. His father was there, heavily drunk and high as a kite on who-knows-what, having already served two more sentences in jail, and blaming him for everything. He barged in, swinging his fists and breaking things in his blind rage. This woke up Louis' mother, who stood to defend him, only to be pushed hard against the family piano, breaking both it and her neck. In his hazed mind, the father saw the exposed wires of the piano and thought it would be suitably ironic to kill Louis with the thing he loved so much. The next thing Louis remembers is waking up to the sound of sirens with the garrote still around his neck, feeling very cold. He startled several police officers as he sat up, for he had already been declared dead with no pulse felt. It's uncertain how it happened, but he soon found out that the piece of piano wire, apparently containing his soul or life force or whatever, was the thing keeping him alive, when a curious policeman fiddled with it. At the station, they still found no pulse, but took his statement anyway. By the next day, however, the records (and memories, he would later learn) had been altered to a miraculous survival rather than a rise from the dead, and a strange man approached him to offer him a place in the Daybreak Academy's next semester. With nowhere else to go, he accepted. Now, half a year later, with his father in jail after pleading guilty to the murder and attempted murder, he enters the Academy with high hopes for something better than his previous life.

Other Notes: Louis has to carry his soul-piano-wire on his person at all times, lest he fall comatose until it is returned. His pale skin also gets sunburned easily after just a couple hours of exposure, but this is preventable through the usual means of covering up and applying sunscreen.

Sorry, the supernatural is completely unknown to the mundane world, and any mention of it is suppressed and promptly wiped from public memory. Don't think I made that clear enough. A zombie testifying in court would not happen.

I understand, just, it's a bit too far to have him be examined by a hospital and the fact he lacks a pulse not being investigated at all. It's too much to suspend disbelief, I'm sorry.

Name: Andrea Kovac
Maturity: Physically and mentally 16. How long she’s been alive, well, not telling~
Abnormality: Andrea is a domovoi, a sort of servant-spirit, albeit her particular family hasn’t served a “master” in several generations.
Appearance: A short girl about 5’2”, with blonde hair hanging loosely down to the middle of her back and brown eyes. Andrea has slavic features, as one might expect from the place the myth came from. She has a thin and lithe figure, looking more than a little delicate, in contrast to her personality.
Personality: Andrea is a hard working person, and energetic. She hates laziness with a passion, and will often do her best to get lazy people off their asses.She perhaps has a tendency to get… overzealous in some things, and probably has a shorter fuse than is healthy (although she can reign it in a bit if the consequences of exploding when she would like to seem like they’d be dire).
Backstory: That’s private, isn’t it?
Other Notes: She is fully aware that her species tends to be servants. Treating her like one, however, is a good way to have her explode on you.

Name: Stella Wyrm
Maturity: 16 (Matures at much the rate of humans, but ages after adulthood much slower)
Abnormality: Is a half Dragon, on the mother's side.
Appearance: (Picture created my friend Scarlet, who isn't on these forumns sadly)Stella, is about 1.8 meters (approx 5'10") and is covered mostly in Sapphire scales, her neck and belly (if you get to see it) are covered in pale blue scutes (the long plates you can see in the image), although her skin which is mostly visible on the face is a normal human colour, she has four horns, all ebony black, one small set on her forehead and the other larges set growing almost straight backwards through her shoulder length black hair. She has a slightly slim build that looks mostly human, except that her feat are digitigrade as opposed to the normal human plantigrade and with three decidedly nonhuman limbs, a large muscular tail, and two wings so large that when furled they reach about a foot above her head.
Personality: Stella is normally gentle and shows obvious restraint when physically interacting with others, almost as if she is afraid she will hurt them on accident. But if something offends her sense of justice, or drives her too far she can be very quick to become aggressive but usually avoids causing permanent damage. She enjoys stereotypical nerdy pass times, but also really enjoys flying and gets fidgety when she cannot for long stretches. While not shy she has had a hard time making friends so far and has learned to be cautious when meeting new people.

Backstory: Stella grew up an only child and was mostly raised by her father, her mother only being able to visit the city very infrequently do to the need of secrecy. Her schooling so far was an experience that she is glad she had, but the need to hide what she was from the wider population kept her isolated and she has been fairly lonely, with the only friends she has being met online and still in the dark. ((More may come as I RP that's normally how I do it))

Other Notes: While Stella can eat anything a normal human can, she has a preference for meat, and must eat at least a little each day or she becomes poorly. She is a creature of fire and is comfortable in very hot temperatures but deals with cold temperatures more poorly than humans. She can magically transform into a fully human appearance, but maintaining this requires concentration and is uncomfortable
