"Well, almost home. I'm really glad to see that station." Christian grins widely and looks over at Tina "Hey Tina, don't hand over that sample unless I'm there. I want to see their eyes pop."

Christian will radio detailed damage reports and a report on Sertain's condition to the station, then help plot the last leg of their approach.

So the plan is to take the piece of dead Horror Knight right past what very well might be a living one?

We won't be entering the area with the castle effect, right? The ship's electronics and drones wouldn't like getting into that area either. Obviously taking the sample through the gate would probably not be a great idea until both are understood better.

[Tina Murdoch]

Tina shakes her head.
"N-no... I'll handle it. B-besides, I'm still in a... space suit."
Tina is looking forward to coming back to base, and finally taking off her space suit. Maybe the others would've been in a better state if they wore theirs as well.
"Drones are... docked, they wont be a worry, the f... five of them."
Tina goes and retrieves the sample, intent to not lose it again.

The closer you get, the more likely you are to be noticed. Every passing minute and hour is tense.

You dock at the station. Repair crews come aboard the Zarastro, and you're now no more than 500m from what could be the other entity. Holding the sample case, you want towards the tram. Once it begins, it will take you into the shadow of the entity, and into the gateroom.

"Guys, we should probably leave the sample on this side for now, at least until we have some way of shielding it."

[Tina Murdoch]

"B-but... it's a severed... l-limb."
Tina goes on the tram, holding the sample.
"If the entity is bothered... by severed limbs, then it'll also be bothered by... s-some sort of four dimensional blood."

"Perhaps we should inform the base scientists of our situation. They may have a solution," Stella suggests.

Ballard Leihua licensed a lab on the station to study the pulsar and monetize any of their findings. They hope that new kinds of radiation and electromagnetic readings, particularly from around the gate, will be monetizable either to computer firms, weapons technologists, or their own stellar avionicists. There isn't a biolab on this side of the gate, though one could be built.

Either way, if you want to ask someone on the station, you're going to have to approach the station commander, Oren Staville.

[Tina Murdoch]

Tina ponders for a bit, before stepping off the tram.
"Actually, what if the gravity well makes the sample do stuff? I heard gravity wells slow time."
Tina goes looking for the lab on the station, to check up on their facilities.

Tina climbed the ladder from the docking port and sat down in a seat. Beside her, out the window, the station's ring spun quickly. She felt an acceleration, and in her window the station slowed down as she started to feel gravity again. The door finally aligned with a door on the station's side. They pressed together and opened, and Tina stepped onto the habitation section of the station. She looked at her sample kit, and the piece of the entity was gone, leaving only a smear of blood behind.

Stella facepalms. "We warned her. At least we can analyze the blood."
