The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

This wasn't one of those strange temples with a long, featureless corridor extending outwards from the archway like a giant thermometer. This was a round room that would otherwise be a hallway in a T junction, with the main hall running left to right outside the alcove. To aim up it you'd have to enter the doorway and turn left or right.

Stella waits for the others with the PDWs to enter the hall first, before following and setting up her gauss rifle, aiming down whichever hall is longest. If they're equal, she aims down whichever is most lightly defended.

Vigil edged towards the archway, not wanting to be the first one out. He didn't hear any more footsteps. But then, they were nearly impossible to place, echoing only through your feet on the floor, not the air around you. Even the U2 song couldn't be heard if you muted the pad's audio broadcast.

Speaking of, he'd activate his helmets sensor suite, seeing if he could catch anything that would give us a hint as to what was out there.

The team listened carefully, staying back from the door. Most of the team kept weapons trained on the door, a few others checking sensor logs. Sounds of footsteps echoed through the castle floor, then stopped, only to start again in smaller and smaller numbers.

Stella, you determine that the smaller drones must be kicking off of walls to 'fly' in zero g, running with six legs along the walls, and getting into defensive positions. Though you can't pinpoint where - the echoing noise only passes to you through your feet along a flat floor, making it impossible to gauge angle or direction of origin in three dimensions. You run the samples through an intensity scanner based on the stones used on the Castle on Mars, and calculate that none of the drones must be nearby, yet. Probably another thirty or forty seconds before they're in the vicinity, depending on the layout. Let the team know, or post whatever you'd say after determining that.

[In the case of group rolls, after a roll, I'll roll off all the people involved to see who gets to deliver the message, tighten the bolt, put together the puzzle, or etc. Abe won this rolloff, so Stella is the one who put together the data.]
