The Chairman examined the holographic map thrown up over the wall of the boardroom, rubbing his chin in silence as the rest of the directors spoke quietly amongst themselves. Mars. The Red Planet. The rusted planet. Once believed long dead, once believed long bereft of even the components of life. The last bastion of a species that should have died on a world now lost, now scrambling for the resources upon the iron surface. None deserving of it, though some might cling to the strength needed for the conquest for a time, before the rust inevitably rose to choke them. None, though they may conquer, with the power to build a paradise from dust.
But the company would change that. With a little work, all those who remained of humanity would be worthy of this world, and all the worlds beyond. The only thing they needed was a bit of time, and a little cooperation.
Eden returned to his seat at the table, and the board fell into silence. He uttered not a word to them as he called up the communications monitor, adopting a calm smile waiting until all the leaders of the corporations and dictatorships which made up the Martian leadership responded to his call. More could wait for private meetings.
Horizon Biotech ACCEPTS the offer of livE Corp, assuming I'm reading that correctly.
Horizon Biotech offers the opening of a Non-Aggression Treaty and Scientific Exchange with all major corporations and countries controlling portions of the Martian surface, to be agreed upon on a one-on-one basis.
Regarding its nearest neighbor in the Republic of Aubernia, Horizon Biotech notes that the offer of a Non-Aggression Treaty and Scientific Exchange does include them. However, there is one contingency--any hostile movements by Aubernian military forces near Horizon Biotech Headquarters--or attempts to seize adjacent territory--will be regarded by the company as the act of a hostile state power, and will be responded to accordingly.
