This is a space exploration game. It's going to be lofi, my own knowledge of many concepts are modest, but that said. It will be more of a scientific exploration, rather than a space opera. More experience than theater. Join me, for a meditation on the cosmos.

Hm. I guess I'm interested in this. Count me in.

What do you mean about the "one-player game", though? Why limit it that much?

[RoseHeart]

You'll see. Or maybe not. I can always add more spots, if needed.
Also, space is deadly. Even without fantastic fiction, even with planning and precaution.

This story begins at a secret military base. The year is 1980, your name is Bailey, and you are going to test an experimental craft. There was a death in a previous test of an earlier version, and you would be the first to survive. This craft represents a kind of technology unparalleled in all the world.

Because this craft can hover, without thrust. Something you've mastered. That was the easy part. That was the safe part. That is just the beginning.

This craft, can teliport.

Ok.

Now what?

[RoseHeart]

It's already over you're already over there it worked! You're going to be a legend. Now see if you can bring it back.

(You're going to have to turn on your eight-year-old astronomer to get the most out of this. The one that looks at at cardboard box and sees a spaceship. Improv.)

Oh. Um. Well, I assume that this should be simple, so clearly, it won't be.

Let's bring it back, then.

Attempt to bring it back by pressing the apropriate button.

As you do so. You appear in orbit. This is very concerning for one it is an experimental craft and not totally secure for space travel or at least not for very long.
Also it is a much further jump than was planned. We mean waaaay further.

[Glass]

Return to the place from whence you came!

But seriously, figure out how to get back.

[RoseHeart]

Because of how the teleportation works* this should not have happened. And it is very curious. As you look over the equipment it seems to all be offline. You are slowly drifting towards the planet.

*A set locational coordinate, already established that should have no reason to be anything other than what was preset

Clearly, there has been sabotage. Not that it really matters now; try to identify the planet we're drifting toward.
