I'm wondering wether copper blocks are dwarfy enough for a megaproject or if I should make it out of copper bars, which I won't have enough.

Why not just have mason make native copper blocks instead?  You get 4 blocks without using fuel.
Don't have native copper, but I decided to go with electrum for the statue. We (doing this on a succession game) also have magma furnaces set up so fuel isn't a problem.

So, the statue I've been building is basically the Colossus of Rhodes, so what would be the easiest way of getting magma all the way from the magma sea to the bowl that he is going to hold?

Pump 7/7 magma in nickel minecart, remove the magma and make a track stop dumping in the bowl with a hauling route.

I use this method for making a magma smelter before winter.

Unfortunately, it's not an option because I have to fill up 34 tiles of magma.

What about a flag on a pole? The flag is waving over the head of the dwarf and the bowl. The magma goes up the flagpole (pumpstack), through the flag, and falls into the bowl.

The pole would be 3x6 tiles...

XXXXX    X = up/down stairs used while building , and removed afterward the banner pole is completed
XWWWX    W = wall
XWPWX    D = Door or Wall, alternating every other z
XWPDX    P = Pumpstack (Floor, Screwpump, and Ramps)
XWPDX
XWPWX
XWWWX
XXXXX

The idea is that you'd start by building the surrounding up/down stairs on z=0, then do this series of steps:
- run a macro to build the z=0 walls, doors, floors, ramps, and also to build the z+1 up/down stairs.
- clean up any suspended constructions from the initial rush.
- up z and run the macro again.
To control the source materials, you could wall off the "floor level" and have the only access to the stairs go through a room that stockpiles all the needed items.

Once it is built, deconstruct the surrounding stairs (leaving two adjacent to the doors if you want to maintain the tower for repeat usage).

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

This is a great idea, however I will have to use it without the flag thing, cause the statues head will be on the top most level of the map. I will instead lead it through his left arm,
