I'm already a Count. I could probably take that other stuff as level ups, right?

When did this happen?

Hm... setting up a stronghold would be useful. If we can take the keep, that'd be exceedingly useful. Who's in?
"The keep? Long as I get to be tha' Count, I'll lend my pitchfork."
You can probably be the Count, for what it's worth. Not that it's worth much.

Enemy post, that was unofficial and in character. It isn't fact unless dark one agrees to it. Also, that would mean you have to impale yourself, now that you are nobility.

Okay, let me put it this way.
If for some reason you use that ability on a enemy and roll a 1, chances are you would instakill yourself with it. Especially since you already have a -1 to all combat rolls against spirits undead and demons.

Hypocrisy doesn't nessesarily apply to abilities, and dark one can choose to interpret a bad roll however he wants. If he says you're nobility like you want, you can never use that ability again without risking a instakill on yourself. Not that it has much use to begin with, we have only faced one noble enemy so far and they were a boss fight.

Nix:

Wake and up EXORCISE THIS DARK *$&@ing SPIRIT.

As for level up:

Pilgrim's Endurance - Re-roll a physical defense/durability/damage roll that lands on a 1.

Ok, level up power stated. Is there anything I can do besides looting or fighting the dark spirit, Glass has that covered.

You can go explore the keep alone.

I don't know what my level up skill ahould be
These are my ideas

Demonic Ambassador: All demoms are neutral to me (passive ability)  OR  Make a demon (or demons, if possible) neutral (skill)

Arcane mastery: Arcane magic wont heal or buff undead (passive ability OR skill?)

Unity: gains 1 faith for each ally or player near me (skill OR passive power)

Dont really know when something would be too strong, so tell me which are fine or not

And for Smoke, what would "become stronger demon" do?

Nothing would be too strong. Inquisitor has Wrath of Gods from the start, you can go crazy with skills since enemies are in many cases much stronger than you. Turning into stronger demon turns him into higher level demon with new skillset, better resistances and more HP. Leveling him up would work just as player leveling up.

...y'know, just thinking, but I feel like there should be a way to "knight" peasants or something. Something that can help take away some of the penalties that they take.
Maybe Dennis could inherit the title of Duke? And he'd get a bonus to fighting zombies?

Eh, just kinda thinking out loud here. Essentially, I'm saying that there should be some kind of reward for surviving as a peasant. Maybe they're the only ones that can get buffs against enemies that they're weak to. Something.
*shrugs*

I'll think about a good way of rewarding peasants that survive long enough.

I hereby declare Dennis the count of this land and I'll set up a poll if he should become duke of Height Keep.

Hypocrisy power:
 +1 to persuasion rolls
100% chance for noble enemies to target him first
 +1 to rolls against nobility,
Noble enemies deal double damage on [1] rolls

Counts greed:
 +1 to finding loot,

Does this count as him changing/evolving class?

It'll work like a sub-class. Sub-classes would be available to gain within game on level up, not available start with one. I thought about giving peasants possibility to reclass past level 4. They'd sacrifice three levels to change their base class without losing current skills and HP points, and get skills, weaknesses and bonuses of new class. Experience needed to next level won't be reset.

Also, a little thing about class backgrounds. Peasant background is self explanatory. Inquisitors aren't just some random mooks but knights that offered themselves to the cause, which means that they are nobles. Exorcists were priests or monks. Demonologists could be scholars or members of cults, but they could come from any background. Wanderers being blank slates, they could come from any backgrounds.

Okay so I am going with
Demonic Ambassador: All demons are neutral to me (passive ability)
as a power, and have Smoke transform into a more powerful demon.

Turn 23

Huzzah! That was a great show my good man, let me introduce myself, I'm Lysander Blackgaurd, a demonologist, pleased to meet you, now, shall we see what the undead had on them? - Lysander introduced himself then asked. The Duke's gear belongs to me as victor of the duel, and if you touch his corpse without my permission I will not protect you from the dangers of the undead - Reynald replied harshly. V yrnir sbe svir zvahgrf, naq lbh thlf nyernql xvyyrq n mbzovr qentba.
So hello everyone... uh is that a dark spirit? What did you guys do now? Forget it, I dont want to know. Someone get rid of the dark spirit please. And we need to talk later.
- Pguhyuh said to his companions, then turned to Lyirah and said: Lyirah, so this is the team. Team, this is Lyirah. Please dont discuss about religion and gods. Awkward silence. This situation is extremely stressing and confusing - he quickly added.

We're killin' an angel now? A'right then. - Dennis shouted out.

I'm going to explore the rest of this place, anyone want to come with me? - inquisitor changed his mind and Lysander decided to explore the keep. Who are you? - demonologist asked, but then he quickly added: Wait, it doesn't matter, after all I don't think anyone has told me their name. I know this lady better than anyone here,
and we met a moment ago. We should share stories.

[1] Lysander moved onwards towards throne room, but in the last moment turned towards kitchen, where he stumbled upon a huge, bloated undead with a cleaver in it's dead hands. Ah... Fresh meat! - it yelled upon noticing him!

[6] In the face of imminent death, Lysander's powers strenghtened! A first bond with demon would come with no price and he could have as many bonds as he wished, but each next bond comes with greater price in life and faith!

[1] Reynald rushed to aid Jeremiah, trying to get him to safety, but the dark spirit recovered quickly from Aaron's punches and noticed him!

[Reynald: 5 -1, Fallen angel: 5] It sent a dark bolt at him that just barely connected and fraction of it's power wounded inquisitor and knocked him to the ground! When hitting the ground, he thought about a way to split damage with his enemies and received a new ability that should work on undead.

[3] Seeing his companions on the brink of death, Aaron accepted his dragon heritage and his body started to change. Small, white scales quickly replaced his skin and his face stretches into dragon-like snout. Feeling the blood of dragons in his veins, he developed a frost aura!

[Aaron: 3, Fallen angel: 1] Wanderer's frost aura formed a small snowstorm around him that hit at dark spirit and immobilised it. Aaron raised his espadon and with an upward slash split dark spirit in half, then with sideways slashes he sliced it into small pieces and it exploded, spreading ghostly dust around!

[6] Pguhyuh tried to gather his thoughts but they were flowing into his mind like crazy until he clinged to just one - someone to fill a gap between demons and humans. With a bit of arcane energy, he received a demonic seal that should keep demons at neutral attitude towards him!

[5] At the same time, Smoke undergo a metamorphosis! He burst in flames and clouds of smoke, melting to a puddle of tar, from which he regrown taller and stronger, his body having now more smoke openings from which fire and smoke could get and several spikes and blades that could be hidden or extended. Several new small eyes appeared around his main eyes, and his maw got more razor sharp teeth. From smoke imp, he turned into smoke phantasm!

[3] Pguhyuh searched one of fallen knight corpses. It's armor was quite damaged, but longsword it possessed was in quite good shape. Within ashes he also found a small ring without a jewel.

[6] Next demonologist looked around if there's anything worth attention in the entry hall, but Aaron slicing a dark spirit caught his attention.

[2] Dennis wanted to attack fallen angel, but Aaron killed it quicker.

[3] Peasant wanted to check a new pitchfork trick that he learned on it, that would probably deal much more damage.

[6] Jeremiah retrieved his consciousness for a moment and hastily set a banishing chant then fell unconscious again, but Aaron already killed fallen angel and the beam of blue light targeted at him!

[1] Aaron didn't see that coming and the beam connected, banishing him to underworld! The banishment felt like a subtle nibble, then turned into pain of thousands of needles getting into his body, the everything disappeared and there was only void...

[4] Being unconscious, exorcist somehow got a strange nightmare showing his way through pain and torment. This spiritually strenghtened Jeremiah.

[6] After a while spent in void, Aaron got dragged by some strange force down the pits of underworld. He flewn through valleys full of wandering dead, demonic fortresses surrounded by magma moats and flied with other tormented souls until he ended down in the darkest, lowest part of Underworld. To the dungeons of Purgatory he was sent, where shackles made of holy energy bound him to a wall in one of cells. He'd most probably would be set free when he returns to his corporeal form, but how to find a way back? He had no idea.

Rotting Chef: [80/80]

Fallen angel: Dead

Dennis: Pitchfork Specialist, new sub-class: Duke
Aaron: Appearance changed, White Dragon's Heritage, killed 1 enemy, banished to underworld! shackled!
Jeremiah: Pilgrim's endurance
Reynald: -10 HP, Siphon undead
Pguhyuh: Demonic ambassador, found undead knight's longsword and ring without gem
Lysander: Enhanced make bond

OOC

A bit chaotic turn...

There was a boss hiding in the kitchen that Lysander ran into, it should be weaker than the Duke though.

Undead Knight's longsword - 40 physical damage, can be used with shield, undead taint forbids inquisitors and exorcists to use this weapon, it must be purged first
Ring without jewel - a decent base for making weak power charms

The votes showed that Dennis should become a duke. He is now a Duke of Height Keep. This sub-class gives him: a skill of Duke's Charm, which allows to turn enemy into ally for 2 turns, Masterful Taunt skill which if successful gives taunted enemy -1 penalty to next roll and improved Greed that gives +2 to loot finding rolls

Since it was stated that spirit walking makes one weak against any kind of skill or damage that can be applied to dark spirit, Aaron got banished. Enjoy your stay in the Underworld!
