The Attackers have crushed all resistance!
The garrison of North Terret was, understandably, concerned by the huge size of our forces and felt we were clearly there to seize the land for ourselves. They were soundly defeated, with only moderate casualties, mainly from the small unit of professional archers amongst the defenders. Scouts have also identified the exact cave the monster supposedly lives in, however the precarious approach (a most effective set of natural fortifications) combined with our reduced numbers has meant that your soldiers chose not to assault the cave this season. A watch has been placed upon the cave however, although it has been mysteriously quiet.
The land is just as devastated as Caerirex made it out to be, however a surprising number of Cattle have
somehow survived the ravages of the monster.
You also receive word of the confirmed trade routes with two other nations. Burly blonde men descend from the north, bearing images of their desolate landscape emblazoned upon various objects. Your advisor doesn't see the appeal, but apparently it's quite popular. As well, traders from the Alliance set up shop, selling odd, sour fruits.
