 Well, I found where I got confused last time making a person, and am confused again. The starting skills/talents, a player gets all of those for their class for free, correct? If that is the case, do the advances for them listed at rank one of whatever simply add to that skill, from what I guess would be basic to trained? And if that is the case what occurs when one has a trained skill from their origin tree that is then given by their class/profession/whatever its called?

No, they are just there in case someone uses an alternative rank for rank 1 (and probably to fill space). You get the starting skills for free and just ignore all the duplicates listed down there.

You gain the next level of the same Skill. If you get Tech-Use in your Origin Path, then the same in your Career, you get it at +10.

Rules for interactions within the Origin Path vary depending on whether the option was bought with exp or not.

This be a female human with various augmentic bits added, most of which are hidden in order to further the appearance of humanity. The main exception to this trend is a large mechanical limb attached to the back, more of an addition than a replacement. Unusually for a member of the machine cult, she lacks a Respirator Unit, which would usually cover and replace the lower face and neck, as this is seen to impair the ability to convey facial expressions. Her irises and speech are a shade of warpy purple. The mane of head hair usually associated with humans is shaved off, in order to facilitate better heat dispersion. Her skin is unusually rigid to the touch and underneath segmented plates could be felt, though this is not evident to visual inspection. Usually wears undecorated red robes, with hood and sleeves removable. Under combat situations an additional layer of external armor is added beneath the robes, including a full helmet that occludes the face and head. Her heavy-lifting mechadendrite is used to carry an oversized chainblade when said blade is not being used to rip something apart.

Lyra originates from a distant and unimportant forgeworld (there they manufactured little rubber bits that were once used in canteens for the imperial guard, but in recent centuries have been largely re-purposed as spare parts in the fuel piping of tanks.) Her birth entirely coincidentally conspired with the ritual sacrifice of 14 goats, the eclipse of all 7 of the planet's moons, 25 separate cases of accidental heresy, and the arrival of a somewhat weak and disguised Demon Prince, who would proceed to do nothing of note on the planet and leave 3 weeks later. This has resulted in Lyra having a greater than average warp presence (though not to the point of her being a psyker)  which amplifies the emotional responses of those around her, leading her to attempt to appear friendly wherever possible, as social interactions gain a greater factor of both risk and reward. Lyra enjoys speculating, and does so constantly to the point that it's difficult for any of the imperium's inflexible dogmas to become particularly entrenched in her mind, as she instinctively seeks out alternative explanations, and sometimes expresses them too loudly. Even these alternative worldviews are not followed for long, as she continues to find new, different things to think about. Her encounters with the Ecclesiarchy have been mercifully rare and short, and more often than not end up with at least some weapons drawn and a hasty escape. Once while attempting to repair some particularly suspect (rather thoroughly corrupted) hardware, her spark of latent warp energy caused the spontaneous appearance of a minor warp demon. In a panic, Lyra took up an industrial chainblade used for cutting apart ship hulls, and tore the demon apart in one strike. This led her to being carrying progressively larger chainswords on her, eventually culminating in the massive Eviscerator.
