Something occurs to Njall.

"So the plan is to lie to them about our intentions, get in and slaughter any resistance in a surprise attack?"

"The plan is to get inside before they can muster any resistance and take the monastery with minimal bloodshed. If we are quick and clever - and if they are sufficiently wise - they will surrender with nothing more than a few broken bones.

"Hide your weapons if you can; let's at least try to pretend that we're not a raiding party."

"They are praying loudly enough to hear from out here. I suspect they know what they are in for. Can't you hear it in their voices?"

Detect Magic. Sense the auras on the monastery if there are any.

((Whoa, I missed this.))

Gunnvor thinks back to what she knows.

"These mainland monks spend much of their time chanting and praying to their gods, when they aren't making books. It's possible that they are not even aware of our raid, and if that possibility exists it would be wise to exploit it."

"Let's be on our way, then. Through the door, or should we try a window?"

"Windows would be a better idea."

How are we on window access? Is there a chapel we could break into from multiple sides?

"I take it you two have decided against the bluffing plan for some reason?"

"We're a party of heavily armed Mungaršrians. No priest is so disconnected from worldly affairs that they'd not recognize why we're here."

"And we are looking presently, not breaking in just yet. It is good to have contingencies."

Perception check. Any windows or openings that could be access from the roof?

There are several windows on the main body of the building. However, they are so small and placed so high as to render entry through them quite impractical. There are also a number of stained glass windows on the tower part of the building, which you could conceivably enter through, although they appear quite sturdy.

Hypothetically speaking, if you don't mind risking a broken bone or the like, you could climb on to the roof and use one of those windows, although you're not sure what sort of advantage that would grant you, exactly.

((You forgot I have grappling shots, didn't you? Also, any windows appear to not be part of the prayer hall?))

((Yes, I did forget about that.))

There are three stories of large, stained-glass windows in the tower and two stories of small, high-seated windows in the rectangular part of the building. You can't tell from outside whether the building has multiple floors or if it's partitioned into multiple rooms inside.

"Think it's worth making the climb? Or should we just try the door? There's some things we could try if we enter through a window, like a two pronged attack."
