You blast the kobolds with a gout of flame as you charge them, but they've spread out to present less of a target - the one you catch deflects most of the fire with her armour. The spit lizards launch a volley of acidic missiles, which you just about manage to dodge, while Gugujib harries the kobolds ineffectually. By the time you close, though, you are able to catch three of the kobolds at once - one smashed against your hoard with a wing, a second gutted by your claws and a third whose head you tear off with your jaws, crunch and swallow.

Gugujib switches targets to the spit lizards, but they take advantage of the hoard's cover to avoid her shots - the same cover provides you with ample protection against their spit volleys as you eviscerate the last two kobolds with flawless ease and turn your attention to the lizards. It's all you can do to dodge their spit as you advance upon them, your own fire scattered by the rapid motion. You sunder three lizards and devour a fourth whole, their brethren scattered by the attack and less able to co-ordinate their fire. Gugujib snipes a couple attempting to sneak up on you from behind as you butcher the rest.
Your body aches from the exertion, and your stomach is raging. Still, devouring the spit lizards and the kobolds dulls the edge on your appetite, as well as the various smoked meats your minion has stockpiled for you in the last few weeks. You add the kobold's armour and weapons to your hoard, as well as the skins of the lizards (

LAIR FEATURES
None (visible entrance, but not well known)
Gugujib approaches you after you have eaten. "Master, a well-trained contingent of spit lizards like these is unusual - kobold families might keep one or two as guard beasts, but these were trained for war. The Bloat King's daughters have been known to grant packs of trained spit lizards to those they favour. Perhaps they may be aiding adventurers seeking to slay you or steal from your hoard."
Gugujib scratches the scales at the back of her head.
"Honestly, master, it isn't too surprising. The entrance to the tombs isn't hidden, it's a hole in the side of the hillock. The only reason we haven't seen more kobolds coming in force is that there are dozens of old tombs and caves scattered around the swamps and probably there aren't that many parties looking for you. I happened to be resting here when they came, but I can't guard the lair and hunt at the same time. Begging your pardon, master, but you might want to look into defences or camouflage for this place."
Gugujib raises a point, but you are still pretty injured, not to mention half-blind and you have a hole in your scales. What will you do regarding your current state of injury?
A) You're hungry. Get out into the swamps, hunt some beasts to fill your belly, then go back to sleep.
B) You're hungry. Get out into the swamps, mess about with a kobold homestead or two for food, then go back to sleep.
C) You're hungry. Get out into the swamps, make contact with one of the larger kobold villages for food and maybe medical aid before sleeping.
D) You're hungry, but you're weak too. Sleep it off, knowing you'll be ravenous when you wake.
What will you do about the lair's lack of security? (Select one or more.)
A) Take Gugujib off hunting duty and make her your sentry, with instructions to wake you should adventurers come.
B) Take Gugujib off hunting duty and put her on counter-assassination duty, with instructions to tackle adventurers herself so your sleep will be uninterrupted.
C) Tell Gugujib to spend a few weeks infiltrating the kobold villages as a spy again, then temporarily collapse the entrance to the lair. You can always open it up again when you wake up.
D) Engineer some traps or camouflage yourself (you are unskilled, but somewhat strong).
E) Seek out someone to construct traps or camouflage on your behalf.
F) Uproot entirely and find a new lair!
G) Nothing for now. You aren't in a state to go venturing out looking for help, and it's more imperative that you just sleep it off.
