Er. Yeah. Because we've got a single point of flames right now. Once we can sustain them and turn an area into a hellish infernal shields aren't going to do jack! Magic will also probably eventually have good anti mass abilities, and eventually sheer power will imply that we're only threatened by powerful creatures, which don't typically come in mass numbers. What's a group of spearmen going to do against adamantine scales? Nothing.

As for alchemy... Eh. It's not the most exciting as I said. But we can probably benefit from it at all levels still. Even giant dragons can be helped by powerful potions.

[Coin Flip: D,  B]

You flex your claws, which have grown sharper and stronger, and really do resemble gleaming dark brown blades now.  The muscles have strengthened, and you give an experimental dig into the ground beneath your lair and find that the hard clay is giving way much more easily - as, no doubt, spines and flesh would as well.

More than that, your experiences fighting the band of mummies has brought memories bubbling to the surface of taking on crowds of foes; armoured figures whose faces are blurs trying to press you down with a circle of spears, but rising up with flame and claw to shatter their foolish hopes and dreams - and bodies, too.  You feel much more confident about tackling groups of foes.

You scrabble out of your cramped lair and take some time to hunt a few boars and raptors.  You are sated soon enough, but you have a rather rapacious appetite now, far more than most lesser creatures.  For now, your food source is adequate, but it never helps to be prepared.

A) Go searching for a new source of food.
B) Improve that lair, at the very least dig it out a bit more (specific suggestions welcome).
C) Look for those kobolds.
D) Head back to the crypts.
E) Search for a new challenge.
F) Search for a new source of wealth.
G) Something else?

B

Dig around hte roots of a near by mangrove tree, essentially making a large room for the fact that it would be supported by the mangroves roots.

B Expand our lair. Include a downward then upward bend to stop water from infiltrating the burrow, and to prevent others from smoking us out.

No reason to go looking for food now. We won't need more until we grow, which shouldn't happen until we find loot.

Food first, then we'll expand the lair.

Better to have a good food source sourced so we don't starve after the next size upgrade. Heck, maybe there isn't enough food around here and we'll need to move our lair anyway. Rendering any work on it worthless.

D.  The crypts will make a better lair than anything we can dig.
