C We'll show those undead squatters what we do to people who think they can get away with not sharing their wealth with us in our swamp!

C has challenge and wealth.

Hey, shouldn't we be getting some skill because of the glorious combat with the big bird?

I disagree about leveling up on the mummy, it practically slew itself by pulling us in with it.

C... for now.

That one was in disadvantage, but to deal with the mummy that was standing up when we were hurt would be glorious.

I don't know if it will still be a challenge. we are bigger, but no stronger, except for fire. Maybe fighting without fire will be glorious. And we should certainly give it a try.

You decide to pay those mummies a visit and return to the blocked up entrance in that small hill.

Unfortunately, those boulders are too hefty for you to move right now, even using the glaive when you drag it from your lair to serve as a lever.  The gap you could slip through a week ago is now too narrow for your swelled form.

A) Spend several days laboriously chipping away stone to make a hole big enough for you to clamber through.
B) Give up for now, return when you are stronger.
C) Something Else?

You know what?  Bugger this 'cave in' business for a lark.  You just head back to those basalt blocks you originally found and try to find the exact spot you fell in at.  You... think you have it?

You start breathing gouts of flame at the swamp nearby, trying to burn up some of the water in the hopes of making the spot clearer.  After several minutes, the combination of flames and digging manages to uncover some hidden wooden supports, but as you move to investigate them, whatever hidden mechanism seems to activate and you are once again pulled down into the swamp.

Expecting the fall this time, you spread out your wings as you leave the goop and manage a controlled fall, gliding part of the way and landing safely, if roughly.  Having brought your own light this time, you breathe a gout of flame upwards and examine your surroundings in the temporary light.

It seems as if you are in another wing of the necropolis, not unlike that of the long corridor chamber with all the bodies, although this is more of a circular domed room with sarcophagi arranged in a series of concentric rings around a vast lantern of the same oil bowl type as those you have seen elsewhere.  Unlike elsewhere, the lantern is not lit and you can see why - nearby there is the heavily damaged corpse of a lamplighter mummy, surrounded by several humanoid skeletons in long-rusted armour with dull orange iron blades nearby.  The mummy has already been stripped of valuable items.  It seems that since the lamplighter was killed in this area, no other took over its job keeping everything lit.  Similarly, you can see that the bronze lamp dish is also covered in verdigris, unlike the beautifully shined ones in the other rooms.  In addition to the chamber itself, you can see two passageways out - one to the pyramid chamber you went to before and one leading off in another direction.

A) Light that lamp and explore this room, maybe crack open a few sarcophagi and see if there's loot worth mentioning.
B) Light that lamp and explore this room, don't disturb the sarcophagi just try and get a feel for the room and its decorations.
C) Head off to the pyramid room where Narsis was buried.
D) Let's explore the other passageway, why not?
E) Something else.
