You trust to your newborn limbs and launch yourself over the boar, narrowly missing being gored by its tusks as you glide over it. The boar, although it is nearly out of the pit, cannot really turn around in its present circumstances, so you land behind it and crawl right back up onto its back again.

You dig back into the wounds you made before, savaging the arteries in the boar's neck. As you work at tearing out its throat it struggles out of the pit, then tries to shake you off - but it has lost too much blood. Its struggles become more sluggish until eventually it lets out a final groan and collapses. Licking the blood from your snout you begin to tear strips of meat from the corpse and wolf them down. Would be better cooked, but the flesh is still hot and that's good enough for you.
You have gained Glory for defeating a (relatively) powerful foe.You eat your fill late into the night, and feel confident you can hunt such creatures in the future. Now you just need somewhere to drag future kills, sleep and of course store anything shiny you find, such as those jewelled egg shells you hatched in. Looks like you should find a lair.
A) To the trees! We can build a nest in the branches away from predators.
B) To the dirt! We should be able to dig out a hiding hole in the firmer ground and rest up there.
C) To the drawing board! It will be a lot of work, but maybe we could build some sort of wicker and wood nest here on ground level?
D) To the unknown! Go searching for some existing lair. Maybe we can force something else out.
