Cassiopeia (ISG): The Dream Machine
« on: May 30, 2017, 09:04:22 am »

you are the Astronomer

you don't know your real name, but there are stars in your eyes

some objects float around you, perhaps you should examine them

... you're not sure using the Dream Machine right now is a good idea

battery life is limited
so when you use it it should be for something important

and even if you did float away

you don't know if you'd get anywhere

at least you have a friend here

Look through the telescope, looking for stars, planets, or anything of note.

Were we allways the Astronomer? If not, who were we before then?

Work on a potential forum game for my return to Bay12. Figure out parts that puzzled me before. Find more things to figure out that I can't. Work on another game instead of solving them. Get distracted and stop working. Remember it a week or two later. Remember I'm still on hiatus. Illogically, Be too ashamed to return yet. Repeat ad nauseam.

Finally have a game completely ready. Wait a week before posting it out of laziness.

if you were ever anything before you were the Astronomer, what does it matter now?
there were always stars in your eyes, you simply never had a mirror

this is where you are meant to be, right...?

you take your telescope and begin to do some astronomy
as an Astronomer does

you look for a specific constellation

there it is
the ursa aurum
(it's called that because the best constellations are named after bears)
it's your favorite constellation, because it's so bright and easy on the eyes
easy on the star eyes

the brightest star is called the gullbjornen
it's your favorite star in your favorite constellation (so bright!)
the second brightest, lactos, is also the nearest to gullbjornen
the third brightest is animus, and it lives on the tail end of ursa aurum

there are also two other stars, but you haven't named them yet
you could say you have yet to nomino the astrum
maybe you should?

covfefe and skoros
skoros is to the right of lactos, covfefe to the right of skoros

skoros means moth
sometimes you feel like a moth, drawn closely to light
covfefe means...

well
whatever it means, you've made two friends today
hello new friends, you say in your head, i hope we can get along okay

well, that was nice
you think you're done astronoming for now

perhaps you should do something with the Dream Machine
or not, if you don't want to
