The hivemind finds an unexpected amount of resistance, aided by the lava moat. They are unable to take over the Sand Dweller's lands.

(There's a lot of fucking war going on holy shit I love it)

The dwarves gather their strength, and take the 27 remaining Bloodfaeries into their care.
The dwarves, using enchantments placed on their weapons to fight the hivemind, go to war, and attack the corruption wherever it is sighted.

yea. I guess it didn't matter for the rolls, but let the record show that the nation of wind is the Rockmen.

The nation of wind is unrelenting in the conquest of the forests. The fae are torn out and slaughtered. Many within the nation thought that capturing the spirit tree was the goal of the invasion, but when the enigmatic leader of the nation led the final assault ( he is rumored to be of jet black rock) he saw the tree torn down and burnt. They say the tree wailed and cried blood as it burned. They say the kings new throne was carved from the charred husk of the tree, and painted with the blood of Fen leafripple.

Fighting in the tunnels, both sides suffer heavy losses, but at the end of the battle the hive mind conquers the Red Sapphire Island. ((15% of the abominations survived, in addition to the ones living deep in the depths.))

((Holy fuck, the sanddwellers did very well there.))

The hivemind is utterly annihilated in the assault. They lead so many losses, that the entirity of the hivemind hierarchy collapses. Only a hundred or so individual creatures remained after the battle, and they were mercilessly hunted down by the sanddwellers.

The wind king on his ashen throne still burns with anger against the hivemind. He has not forgotten the terror of its intrusion into his territory. The S.A.I.G.E. entity manifests before him and makes him an offer. Should he take the hive queens head, she will give the rock people such a powerful gift as to transform their society.

With this promise, the wind king gathers his armies for another war. They will assault the Hive Minds last bastion. The Red Sapphire isle. He will lead the assault himself. His armies are scarred and veteran. The techniques of violence and the stratagems of war have reached new heights in the nation of wind. This will be his last war, and he seeks for final victory.

Edit: if it was the sapphire isle the sand people took, the nation of wind is attacking the Hive Lands. Just, whatever the last bastion of the hive mind is.

He orders a palace to be built.
