The Adventurer's Guild, once a proud and illustrious institution, has fallen into obscurity and disregard.  Likely due to the disbanding of the Adventurer's Association by King Rinklefich in the Second Era. Since their disbandment treasure has gone unhunted, monsters have remained unslain, and cats have remained stuck in trees. For two hundred years, the world has become darker and, more importantly, boring. No one is going on adventures or quests, or doing anything interesting at all. But that's all about to change...

Welcome to Roboson's Adventuring Guild


Here novice adventurers will gather from far and wide for magical quests of all sorts and designs. Adventurer's will start at level 1 and work their way up as they complete various quests and missions. As they do so they will accumulate gold, magical items, mystical powers, and unimaginable fame. All sorts are accepted, as it is a very strange world that we live in. All general fantasy races accepted and custom races by submission. Professions and adventurer types can be wildly varied as well. Feel free to be creative and play pretty much whatever you want to play. I'll roll with it, and fix any gamebreakingly strong things if need be.







You enter the tavern for the first time. It's surprisingly shitty. As you will later discover, this guild hall had been abandoned for almost one hundred years and Roboson won it in a bet from the city manager. The dust and decay is thick in the air, but that's to be expected, the guild just opened and it's just Roboson running it, and he's sort of a fuck. Hopefully as more quests are completed he'll hire some NPCs staff to fix up the place.

Roboson spots you and leaves the bar to come greet you. "Hi there adventurer, now I know it was a long journey to get here and you're excited to get started, so let me just collect your admission fee while you fill out this form and choose some equipment...."

Physical description: Thick Brown hair, Broad shoulders, Blue eyes, quite dexterous, cheeky smile and a long scar on his left arm
Starting Ability: Magic Missile?
Backstory: Had a close encounter with a troll, but a passing hill giant interrupted it allowing Jack to escape. Otherwise a fairly normal man with nothing interesting about him at all. Aside from his interest in spells.

Equipment:
Choose one - shitty bow
Choose two - Health potion, smoke-bomb
Choose one - lockpick set x 5

Abitities are just your first special move. It's suggested that they are combat capable abilities, such as a small spell or an empowered strike or something like that. In combat missions, players will have HP and so will the enemies, so a combat ability will help you fight harder. But other abilities, like playergamer's healing are also useful. Even other non-combat abilities like mining, smithing, potion making, ect ect will be useful. But you'll be able to pick those up later.

Basically the game runs on gold. You do quests to get gold, you use the gold to buy better gear and learn new abilities, you go on harder quests, rinse, repeat. Also loot, lots and lots of loot.

Angels: A race of heavenly creatures made of magic, dwelling within their own plane of existence. The most powerful of them are the archangels. When an archangel dies in the mortal world, a tiny portion of its essence fragments and scatters across the world and embed themselves into unborn children. In most cases this spark of angelic potential is snuffed out, but if the child, on becoming an adult, is a good person and devoted to the worship of the Angelic Host, the spark will instead fully meld with the soul and give them angelic powers.

IC thread is up. That's the tavern thread and it's generally for RP and doing stuff like shopping and talking to other players/NPCs. Then there will be an adventures thread where I will post the actual adventures. I'm separating the two to avoid clutter and whatnot.

You're welcome to put all of them in the tavern and then take whichever (one at a time) you feel like out on adventures. Though this will make it harder for any one of them to become a powerful adventurer.

I am not entirely certain where we all lie on the good/evil scale. The dryad is a bit excited right now, but should generally be what I feel would be approximately a heroic-curious alignment, with a dash of ditz-with-a-flamethrower... But then again she is not devoid of the hedonistic-carniverous alignment.

Her player, of course, is pure evil. No virtue can be found in a fiend who would so mercilessly wield a run-on sentence...
