BYou decide to send a rescue party in her last known direction. They depart just as the sun sets, carrying a few guns, water, and basic medical supplies. Hopefully, they can find her alive and figure out what is so dangerous about that direction.

As you are reviewing the data from the latest vault census, an alarm triggers in you system!
A dust cloud has appeared on the horizon! It is heading straight for the work site!
The workers retreat back inside the vault, and your guards fall back to a few makeshift barricades in front of the vault entrance. The ones armed with guns take up the best covered positions, while the remaining guards equipped with tasers cover the flanks and take position just inside the vault.
As before, a few of the unknown vehicles begin to circle the worksite, but this time the bulk comes to a stop and the riders dismount. there are about a dozen on foot, and two circling. They certainly look human, but it is impossible to tell as they are completely covered in rags and clothing.

A nervous guard fires his gun against orders! The bullet strikes the dirt near one of the outsiders!
Immediately, a dozen weapons appear in the hands of the enemy! They are mostly armed with an assortment of small arms, with an smg or two between them. The center one appears to be wearing metal armor. They don't begin firing at your men, but they are clearly agitated and begin to shout and brandish weapons.

Fortunately, your commander steps in and handles the situation perfectly. She visibly strips the offending guard of his gun and makes clear apologetic gestures to the outsiders. The outsiders calm down, though they keep their weapons out. Your men remain on alert, much more conscious of trigger discipline now.
The apparent leader of the outsiders steps forward with a bodyguard and begins to talk to you commander. Apparently, they speak perfect english. After a few moments they enter they vault together, and a heavy contingent of your security falls in to escort them. Upon reaching your office, they seem a little in awe.
"Oh great mechanical mind, I approach you settlement on behalf of the warlord Nirus"
You get the feeling that he has never met an AI before.
"The emergence of your vault was of great surprise to us, but we do not wish for war. Your vault lies within the territory of Lord Nirus. Given the circumstances, he has made you a most generous offer. In return for a small tax, you will be allowed to retain your autonomy, and we will protect your vault from the many dangers of this world. Do you accept these terms?"
A) "These terms are acceptable. You will have your tax."
B) Attempt to negotiate for better terms.
C) Have the commander execute the arrogant fool on the spot, and then return to the surface to fight off the rest of his forces.
D) Politely refuse his extortion, and have your commander escort him from the vault.
