Ok, no one seems to have anything they want to do before the (maybe) big battle, so off you go down the hall, scouts in the lead and the professor bringing up the tail.

"Wait everyone stop!"
Crystis extends his wings and Crystal arm, the most energy aligned parts of his body, as much as he can in this tight space and closes his eyes.
"There's more energy then average here, and I feel like we're being watched. it could be part of a trap, or a security alarm spell. Do we have someone here who can dispel those?

The professor perks up a bit "Really? Are you sure?" He gain a rather thoughtful look " hmmm. You may be right. I was so busy thinking I completely missed it. Such spells are generally set on only a small area though, so it is likely that this one only covers a few feet. Our shadow friend here" he nods at Skia "already when through once right? So it probably isn't sensitive enough to sense small objects or particularly etherial beings... I'm not sure how to dispel an alarm spell though, not my department."

((@Everyone: If you are not sure if something will work you can ask the professor, he probably knows if you prompt his memory. If you can't think of anything particularly clever, Skia happens to be carrying this orb...))

Crystis thinks for a moment. Tapping his foot.
"mmmm....Could we disrupt the spell by absorbing its energy?

The professor looks thoughtful for a second "I believe so, yes that should be possible. That would alert its caster, but not imediatly. If we hurried we could catch him while he is still trying to figure out what changed the 'feel' of the local energy field, as it will take a few moments before he will realize the alarm is down."

Ortflab presents his empty energy crystal and a scroll of drain as options for trying to disrupt the spell

"There is another option....
Crystis points back down the way they came
"We can deliberately trip the alarm, then go back and hide around the corner. When someone comes to investigate, we ambush them. Thoughts?"

"Normally, I always support an ambush." Skia grins.

"However, I am not certain it would not be expected. We might merely be sent a minion whilst we are left exposed to a mage."

"This once, I might suggest engaging in a more standard manner..... Although....."

Skia fishes around a moment, before pulling her scroll of fireball from... somewhere.

"The corridor ends in a single room. If it's a similar dead end to the armoury, this could be a most... sssatisfying means of engagement. Although we would need a better caster than I."

The professor perks up a bit at the scroll "I can't cast that for you, as I will be busy with the mage, but I can help you rig a few energy crystals so they feed the scroll. Tricky business, that. Don't expect the be able to do it without my help, but if you have some free gems..." He examines the scroll a little closer "Hmm, it is only a fairly weak small version, cheap, but a good backup for an adventurer like you. Sadly though, it can only be boosted a little. Still, boosted it should be enough to at least singe everyone in a mid size room."

Skia proffers her gem, and if it turns out to be insufficient, looks to the others.

((@Skia: I should have said how much charge was needed... Hmm, let's see... How about 4. So your gem will get half way there, get someone else to contribute a full small gem and you will have a nice "door knocker". Say hello to my little friend :P

@Everyone: You still needs to work on a solution to the alarm... Several possibilities have been suggested, discuss and decide.

@Skia: I just realized I never added the teleport homer to your inventory. Oops.))

Ortflab grabs an energy crystal and gives it to the professor.

((Also, how much exp do we each have, and what were the costs for skills + things?))
