Because if we never seek we will never find. The relative ineffectiveness of small/glancing blows is already reported, the army is our fallback if no wizard shows.

So what I think the problem is- we got a warning from wizards and ignored it. I am pretty sure and haspen has implied as much in discord that they've fucked off from our lands because of it. Finding a wizard is going to be an exercise in time wasting and futility.

I think that Methiant going to sorcerers for so many artifacts earlier and the age of magic passing by has made them decide that they have more important matters to tend do. It especially makes sense since if their magic is growing weaker they'll need to conserve their efforts for places that they believe appreciate them more. Also, I'm really looking forward to finally seeing the map again.
