Metals bring in larger profits than usually, and glassware finally recovers both in therms of money made and enthusiasm of its buyers. People praise your name as your officials pour in coinage from the sales into the Treasury.
And a week later, you arrive at the castle of King Cidric. Your family, citing various things to do, decided not to go.
You greet your daughter and congratulate her, seeing her swollen belly, heavy with a child (or maybe its twins again!) made by Cidric. The youth (well okay, he ain't young anymore) at least visits her bedchambers sometimes.
Before you have a chance to talk with Cidric or even enter the feasting hall, two of his uncles, Urwald and Stjolf bring before two girls, of similar beauty but different faces. Both of these maidens cannot be more than fifteen years old.
"Greetings, Emperor Cyl! We wish to make an offer, to bring the house of Dogethe closer to the house of Yoe." Urwald pushes the taller, flax-haired girl forward, and you can't shake the feeling that she is oggling
you.
"This is Ustvana, and she has been talking about marrying your son Iwald and giving him sons and heirs!" Stjolf pushes the shorter, red-haired and definitely uneasy-looking girl forward.
"And this is my only child, Estrid. Heiress to my manor, she would make a perfect match for your son Houlandin!" The men heap praise upon your efforts, their hands on the shoulders of the girls, not letting them stray away for even an inch.
