You decide to invest in the lands of the Hurthlings, to help the little farmers change from tribal societes into truly civilized and wealthy small peoples!
The initial wagonloads of money and supplies are already sent, and while this project will definitely take a whiel and require yearly spending, your Treasurer believes the Kingdom can easily afford it.
Your courtiers have decided to call for this council on their own.
You're seated amongst the most prominent figures of the Kingdom, all of them looking excited and with some certain degree of... understanding between them.
The Advisor speaks up first.
"My liege, this is a council called with intention of changing Methiant forever."
The Treasurer speaks up next.
"Sire, our bureaucratic administration has let us run the country smoothly and fill its Treasury with wealth beyond imagination."
The Marshal stands up and salutes.
"MY LIEGE! Our professional and well-funded Army is the largest and most prestigious in the region, with mighty machines of war at our disposal and our enemies shivering in dread!"
The Arch-Governor unfolds his scrolls.
"According to our censuses, our vast Kingdom is populated with great number of peoples, all whom praise the name of King Cyl and the Yoean Dynasty."
Various nobles speak up, all praising your accomplishments and those of your predecessors. As the words of praise quieten down, the elderly Advisor stands up, and all other sit, before you're adressed by him again.
"Our great King! We believe it is time for our court to do something what few have done before. It is time for our Kingdom to become an
Empire! Empire of Methiant, with the Emperors of Yoean Dynasty, standing above all small and mighty men and women, at its wheel of fate, steering it to glory and prosperity forever!"
Congratulations! Kingdom of Methiant has fulfilled all of game conditions to become an
Empire! As an Empire, it will unlock a new 'Imperial Edicts' ability. Edicts can be issued yearly, and will be an easy tool to change how the government and internal affairs of the Empire work, although you will have to maintain your authority all the time.
Furthermore, the values in the Scrolls of Kingdom Status will be capped at 12 instead of 10, with the highest values representing advantage over all other non-Empire nations.
Proclaiming oneself an 'Emperor' is obviously rather arrogant thing to do, and will of course sour the relationships with your neighbours, who will jealously look in your direction - but what do you care, you're better than them anyways!
Be warned, however, that this decision is basically
irreversible.
Thus there is only one question that needs answering:
Do you declare the establishment of the
'Empire of Methiant'?
A) Yes, absolutely!
B) No. Ask me again sometime in the future.
