I strongly agree that it would be better to "make money, and not just take it."

I disagree that the previous effort was "fruitless." It did exactly what we thought it would do, then was voted down again after hints of rumbles from the peasants.

Without the "extra" taxes our treasury income is zero. Any incidental spending, such as expeditions into the mountains, will be deficit spending.

B I want to try to get the treasury number back to 4; conditions should be reassessed year by year.

The problem was the permanent raised tax rule, right now we can only lose 1 hapiness or nothing (i don't know what happens with 1 on the dice), We can only make money spending something first, we need to have a small reserve of money

I'd guess Luath's popularity is mixed at best. He had few notable decisions and even his right to rule was repeatedly challenged by Segeda and her faction of nobles.

A) Remove Deatha from the palace and arrange a cozy house for her somewhere in the capital city.
B) Ask the healers to get rid of the child.
C) Hastily arrange to make her your newest Queen.
D) Arrange for Deatha to disappear. Permamently.

Both A and B sound better than C. Though I'm leaning B just because I'm paranoid and assume that this will come to bite us in the butt later on if we don't deal with it now.
