They have the agreement written down in two copies, one for you and one for them. Both copies have Methiantese script on top and Agaresian script on the bottom. According to the agreement, the salt caravan will pick up the money.
The merchants take their scroll, and leave the palace, riding their giant lizard mounts northwards.

"Also, I'm happy to announce that the royal scribes have enlarged the map of Methiant and nearby lands." He then sprawls the huge scroll on your desk, the scroll having been widened and stitched and extended many times.
