B) Clearly they executed him! Send our riders to strike their camp in the night!
C) Clearly they executed him! Let's retreat southwards while we still can.

Although I don't think we ever got confirmation from Haspen about the trebuchet/envoy situation, so who knows.

Anyway. Both options are awful. If we send horsemen it's gonna take time, and if we don't have more losses, we'll have the same. Which is bad cause we're inferior in numbers.
If we send footsoldiers they'll get trampled in the middle of the night

Taking time is a good thing. If we buy time, our Blackhearts will be ready to fire and scatter their horses again. As for the numbers game, I'm not sure they still have an advantage after the last few rounds. Do they?

Several days later your scouts bring you new information; the Cydwyl army is marching straight towards you! Or rather, they're riding, as vast majority of their three thousand troop is comprised of horsemen wielding either spears or bows.

So yeah it's about 'almost 3000' on your side ;v
