Your troops deploy to the Cydwyl border, again the Blackhearts and their crews taking forever to get there. There's no activity there, but your officers believe that your northern neighbours are paying attention to your movements with their own scouts.

Scouts report that there are two small outpost in northeast, and a fortified city further north from your position.

A) Let's make example of the smaller forts. To the northeast!
B) Let's crack open that big city to make a big impression. Northwards!
C) Let's seek some other targets elsewhere. We're going northwest!

We can sit outside their fortresses, cook up some nice food, waft the scent in, and then tell them 'Hey, you can have some of this' with an old car saleman's accent as they surrender because we've actually cut off their supply lines and all. And usually, fortresses were more 'troop garrisons to protect surrounding towns/villages' rather than a storehouse.
Unless these 'fortresses' are of different time and tech scaling <_< But 'smaller forts'!
