When the Evalian "patriots" came to court for official recognition they appeared to be acting as a group, there was no one person mentioned that I remember. I'm thinking it's some kind of oligarchy at the moment.

Our promoting a king could be seen as a laying an implied claim to (Greater) Lametania. After they themselves wrote up a guarantee of (quasi-) independence Rucus can't complain much if the Evalians make their own proclamation but we shouldn't be seen to be meddling.

Crystalwater Ironbeak, a gigantic ethereal octopus, has come! Beware its acidic vomit!

This horrid, shiny, translucent creature as appeared one day, coming from between the Ironbone Mountains, and is currently laying waste to the Methiantese villages there, walking over them and killing the unlucky peoples with its vile excretions. The court urges you to do something!

A) I shall go personally slay this demon!!!
B) How do we resolve this? Simples! We wait till it wanders away on its own.
C) Wizard, we definitely need a wizard in this situation.
D) Time to send the Army in, our soldiers and machines will tear apart this ghostly octopus!

Actually, when reading through that again I do notice that it seems like it's just hanging around rather than actively attacking anyone. Don't think the ethereal nature particularly would matter if we go out and shoot it, but I do feel like it might not be a particularly malevolent creature and may deserve extra consideration (maybe we should befriend it somehow, perhaps through human sacrifice).
