Saenn almost died! During a sparing session with Iwald, the two got a bit carried away. Iwald have managed to slash at his younger brother's face, almost cutting him down. Only by Saenn's sheer resilience and your healers' competence, the boy is still alive, although his right eye couldn't be possibly saved.

A) Iwald tried to murder his sibling! To dungeon with him!
B) T'was an unfortunate accident, these happen.
C) Iwald is gonna stay at his chambers for a year for this lack of responsibility on his part.

This feels like one of those situations where we just don't have the background information. Mistakes in training are absolutely possible and if they are genuine mistakes they need to be learned from but not punished. On the other hand, if this is the end result of a pattern of aggressive and egocentric behavior in sparing sessions, then he needs to be punished (although locking him in his room for a year seems like a weird punishment.) to make sure he learns his lesson.

because locking someone away for a year feels pretty harsh. Although I don't think we really have enough info to judge either way. Probably whoever is in charge of teaching them swordsmanship should be the one to decide the punishment.

I'd call a year harsh, but Iwald is martial. It's surprising that he would lose control. We don't have enough to prosecute, so to speak, so we'll call him careless and give whatever happened time to cool down.
