You decide to stash the papers for now. Maybe sometime in the future they will be more useful.
1138 AD, Mid-Spring
You receive a letter from the north; Eirika gave birth! The little girly, Cidric's daughter, has been named 'Odiana'.
Few days later rumors reach your ears; two of Cidric's uncles has been jailed for theft of royal property and dealings with Agaresian traders. This has caused some uproar, but mostly amongst nobility, because most of Cidric's subjects were either welcoming or indifferent to the news.
1138 AD, Summer
News come from the west; apparently, after decades of peace, the Tirines has been raided by some horse nomads. They managed to burn down few villages before they were utterly crushed by combined Tirine-Eldrican force.
Also, your managers from Tiftit finally bring great news in a letter.
They have managed to sort out various problems with hurthlings and have adapted their valley for growing of various cereals, predominantly barley and rye. The Hurthlings were eager to get back to their agricultural roots, and soon Tiftit Valley will be a grand breadbasket of Methiant!
1138 AD, Midsummer
A disaster strikes your family; young Yoe, your grandson by Leath and Abis, has fallen ill with the dreaded swamp fever.
4,1
The young boy fights the best and healers prolong his life for almost a week, but finally, exhausted and in pain, your grandson expires.
Leath in particular is shocked; after all, there has been no sickness in royal family for over thirty years, since Sorceress Xaviera Roarecho blessed your family with health and prosperity. Was there a time limit she has not mentioned to your relatives, or mayhaps the reach of the spell is finite?
No matter. The existential dread and fear of disease again creeps into hearts of Yoe's descendants.
1138 AD, Autumn
"Alldivine choirs?" Houlandin crosses his arms on his chest.
"Yes, father. A musical bunch. They chant praises for Alldivines, sometimes for hours. In fact, local Cloisters are looking for a small building with good sound where they could perform for mass audience."
"And? Did they approach you for support?"
"They did." Houlandin nods. "I want to help our brothers in faith, father. I wish to ask you to sponsor construction of closed amphitheatre, a half-circular building of sorts, here in the capital, purely for Alldivine choralists."
A) "Absolutely not, it will be seen as favoritism toward Alldivine faith."
B) "Well, alright. Who knows, maybe I will attend some choral performances myself."
C) "Do they offer anything in return or do they just want some freebies?"
