B Well actually this does seem like a decent choice. I mean it does fit in character for our usual 'I won't tolerate having my honor wronged' attitude we've Developed as Kings of Methiant.

C I know Gubta's to the east, but I don't like the sound of an "angry" letter. One vengeful conquest at a time.

I wonder if Gubta mistook our people for Damdamians: two empires large enough to stretch beyond our map, common border. It would be nice to have them more involved with each other and not with us.

Hmm. Well if nothing else then the fact that Officials of the Gubta Empire did rob and imprison our merchants could be a sign of both corruption and weakness in Gubta. After all a strong healthy state has no need to rob foreign merchants and generally avoids doing so. Are they facing money problems? Civil Disorder? Course this doesn't have to mean those things. The Gubta could really just be uncouth like that right now. We should definitely keep watch of the situation in Gubta though.

Your courtiers angrily discuss this despicable act amongst themselves. They believe that dwarves should pay for this - after all your grandfather paid a mountain of wealth for it! You decide to...

A) Forgive the dwarves, you could've seen this coming.
B) Ask the dwarves to send some money as compensation for the destruction of priceless artifact.
C) Ask the dwarves to refund the artifact's purchase in full.
D) Act on this as a pretext to fight the dwarves.
