This only incenses them more. They mumble angrily in their language amongst themselves for a while.

These dwarves are being assholes. We offered to support them, and their king wrote back, as opposed to some clerk. That should be seen as a sign of good will. These petty ones cannot be thought of as the whole representative of their people.
