A bunch of scattered dudes means that our shots can't kill more then a few at once, and we're pretty limited on ammo methinks. Should set up in a defensive situation and see what's going on.

For next few minutes, they huddle up near their crates and together they mix in various ingredients. Then, Fireblood and large stone projectiles are loaded into the large metal tubes of Blackhearts.

You can swear you hear thunders that day, and day became night from all the smoke! The mining site goes up in puffs of snow and dirt.

The first salvo ends abruptly and the Felonsines prepare another, cleaning the tubes with large brushes and cloth.

Just as they're ready to load and fire another salvo, scouts bring back urgent news; the Frostlings began their march toward your positions! You decide to...

A) All units - attack, attack!
B) Continue bombardment for another salvo, and then we will see what to do next.
C) Horsemen and archers will go and harass the approaching undead, the rest stays with Blackhearts.

B) Retreat with the cannons while horsemen and archers harass the approaching corpses away from you!

Well, they did say overwhelming numbers beats them too. I imagine we outnumber the frostlings a fair bit.

Before the bombardment there were six hundred frostlings, compared to our 4 points of army. IIRC from previous games, that amounts to about two thousand men, so we outnumber them by just over 3:1.

There is a chance our CHA bonus might apply to something inspirational like orders to charge, but no chance in hell it would carry over to tactical stuff like B.

By the way now i'm glad the people voted for bringing the blackheart :v

Although we think we didn't exploded a bulk of them in the first volley, just a bulk of the mine itself.

Whatever it certainly saved a bunch of our soldiers ass.
