You send a letter to the nobleman, but also to the Hurthlings, urging them to find a peaceful solution.

1109 AD, Mid-Spring

The situation along the border with Hurthlings only deteriorated. While the nobleman was somewhat willing to compromise, the Hurthlings weren't and this resulted in some more scuffles, until an actual skirmish ensued when Methiant militia men tried to apprehend some Hurthlings caught red-handed. This spread to nearby Hurthling settlement and also involved reinforcements, so as you read the report there are at least hundred dead (two-thirds being Hurthlings).

Courtiers are split and arguing; some believe dealing with Hurthlings was a bad idea, some believe they need time and space to adapt, and some call for outright punitive expedition.

A) Yep, gotta punish those little bastards and raid their lands for replying to our good intentions with naught but murder.
B) No no no, they definitely need to be forgiven and mayhaps we should 'tutor' our peasants a bit harsher.
C) What you talking about, kick the Hurthlings outta Methiant and be done with it!

What their chieftains say about it? They need our help, and their subordinates are doing shit

Remember that we dealed with a sorceress.

The fire on the thundercats plus the hurthlings revolt must be the result of that.

The question is, should we kick the hurthlings and wait for the magic returns to normal for a possible future contact or should we try a little harder to make it work?

You decide that this is enough; the Hurthlings are definitely not worth keeping around as their murderous tendencies of the last century are still flowing through their veins. You demand all Hurthlings to leave Kingdom of Methiant before end of the year, or there will be dire consequences for them.

It seems that Hurthlings are listening; they're packing up and leave, and no Methiantese peasants are out of their way to harass them, but they're not helping either, cementing a cold and mutual distate between the races.

Could be worse, though.

Meanwhile, the caravan of Fireblood components arrives in the capital, the minerals are exchanged for gemstones.

1109 AD, Winter

The chilly day gives out to even colder night, the red afternoon sky fades into midnight blue of the night, the crescent moon glowing fiercely on the sky. Everyone is aflutter due to last night's shower of falling stars, which was visible and quite impressive, thanks to cloudless night.

As you move through the corridors, you bump into a maid. She looks a bit pale and is clearly exhausted.

"Apologies, my lord, I haven't been feeling well today."

A) She's clearly ill, she's ought to be sent to the healer.
B) She's clearly tired, she's ought to have some wine and warmth of the fireplace.
C) She's clearly unfit to serve, she's ought to be cast unto the streets!
