The courtiers murmur as well and nod to each other.

"We will try harder, my liege. We will strengthen the patrols, tighten the security detail, send out agents and lend an ear to rumors of travelers and adventurers. We will get to the bottom of this strange affair, sire, you can count on it." The Advisor, the captain of the guard and the spymaster all bow and leave to begin their investigation.

Two days later you receive urgent report from the south!

An army of about 1500 soldiers is marching from within Lametania to the border with Methiant! Compared to the previous army, however, this one has many foreign banners and coats of arms amongst Lametanians, and scouts positively recognized some troops as crossbow and heavy swordsman mercenaries of Damdamian Republic.

The commanders of garrisons in the south ask for reinforcements!

A) And they will get them! Send to the Alldivine cloisters, requesting mercenary troops!
B) And they will get them! Send for Army in Felonsein to send part of their troops to the border!
C) We will doubly provide! Army from Felonsein is to move southwards, while a messenger of ours will visit local Alldivine cloisters, asking for mercenaries!
D) The government of Methiant stands with the border guards in their hour of need. Our thoughts and prayers go to the brave Methiant soldiers in the south.
