It's beginning to bug me that people seem determined to curse our empire with the name of an old failed kingdom that most other kingdoms likely don't care about that much. We can easily become powerful with our name, in fact I'm pretty sure we already currently are far more powerful than the kingdom of Luathbas ever was. Also, on the pantheonism thing, I've decided that I don't trust them. Besides, why worship religion when you can worship the glories of SCIENCE!

I'm actually kinda ambivalent towards the whole Luathbas/Pantheonism thing, but that agenda aligns well with our goal of peacefully assimilating traditional Pantheonist Cydwyl. I'd consider changing course once we annex the north and hold it for several decades without issue.

That said, I'd rather not wait that long to get some kind of schools going, so I would rather go all in on the Advancement of Religion Act now.

The businessdwarves are let in.

They wear golden robes; indeed, the fabric glitters as they move, made of pure golden thread. On their heads there are circles of silver and with gemstones set at forehead. They bow before you and clap their hands. The one with longest and whitest of beards steps forward to speak.

"Greetings, Emperor Yoe, we here to make business. We see trade and people keeping their coinage at home, or with less than trusted persons, but we the dwarves have the Vaults."

He further elaborates that Vaults are places where dwarves store the money of their clients, in exchange handing them out a stamped writ of guarantee. Then, that person can travel all the way across continent to another dwarven hall, bring the writ to local vault, and take out money, with only a small 'handling fee' substracted from the amount.

"Even humans and elves give money to us, to keep it safe!"

"Why would they trust you?"

"We skilled coin-makers and proud warriors. Money is life - and life is valuable, yes yes?"

How insane. Obviously us going off the gold standard might make sense at some point, but we need to do it with Methianese banks, not foreign ones.
