Yes, I will say that at this point I think we need to start moving away from religion and magic if possible. Obviously we shouldn't get rid of our artifacts and stuff like that, but we should focus more on matters other than artifacts and religion. Like glorious SCIENCE!

It seems that the demand for spices is really going up!

Prices are rising, and while that might be good for the Treasury, people are fighting over it. Already the city guard is investigating several thefts, assaults and even deaths related to the spice trade, the possession of it and apparently 'priviledged' status associated with one being able to afford them - or to afford them more than the nearest neighbour.

A) This nonsense is definitely a sign that our people cannot be given spices anymore!
B) We gotta stomp down on the 'spice nobility' and bring order to the streets at once!
C) Where's an Imperial Trade Commission where you need one? In the Edicts of course.
D) Time to send a message to Mahjar Sim and negotiate greater supply of spices.
