Garrisons across Methiant refuse to be subject to purges! There has been several armed revolts in Ceodwell and Felonsein (with numerous dead and wounded), and armed resistance to your policy is mounting up at border with Lametania, where resistance to your shake-up is the strongest. Few keeps already have been overtaken by the disloyal scum that once called itself your soldiers!

A) Try to negotiate with the rebels, they must see the light of my decision!
B) Fight fire with fire - send in the loyal Army troopers to kill the rebels!
C) Maybe the purging was a bad idea. I can still back out of it, right? Right?

The loyal soldiers, outraged that their colleagues would turn their backs on such a proud and militaristic dynasty like Yoean, fight thrice harder to restore the Army's reputation. Thousands die, of course, but the rebel pockets are destroyed within a month!

1194 AD, Summer

During reevaluation, a certain young trader-turned-accountant in the Treasury has came up with a novel but potentially very controversional idea; he has noted that noblemen with holdings and Methiantese earn quite a lot, but because they usually keep their households and families small, the usual tax received by the Treasury from these rich guys is rather small.

Therefore, this Aide of Treasury, Beor Gaiwonn is his name, is proposing that the Crown establishes a new tax what would be called 'Scaling Tax' - a certain percentage tax that would affect certain men who earn certain amount of money, and would take a certain but equal part of money from them (he proposes 5%).

The senior officials in the Treasury and most of the courtiers are opposed to this, however, citing traditional priviledges, low stability in the country and simple absurdism of punishing those who are successful in life with an additional tax!

A) But think of the profits! I shall stamp the approval of this Scaling Tax at once!
B) That sounds like an abhorrent idea. Mister Beor is abhorrent. Remove him from my Court!
C) Maybe later it could be a better time for this, but now, I shall pass on this tax.
