I don't think we're dead yet, it was only a 3 after all. And Doge is just a child, we might have to deal with a regency if we choose him, and I assume we can still name him heir later on.

I do think that the noblemen of methaint will accept cyl although cyl noblemen might be somewhat fearful off the sudden powerboost of their king this may cause a uprising of the gentry folks.

this is true but I hope that the combination of methiant army with some (most of cyl soldiers come form the gentry houses ) of cyl army might be enough to stop them.


Also I think that the Gentry has not fully embraced fire blood armaments over "glorious melee combat"

well it appears as though doge will become emperor of methiant a bit of a shame

So guys how do we deal with the pantheist clergy i mean they became far more powerful when the other faiths (alldivine for example)  started do die-off how can we get them from the powerful position they now possess?.

The main problem with voting doge over cyl is that it only makes the problem comesback in the Future to bite us When the gentry comes it will have prepared it self for war with fire blood armaments but if cyl becomes emperor if done fast enough with methiant army at his back
With the bracelet of charisma and his trait we can cow the nobility.

well the problem is that this would give significant legitimacy to the person chosen which may cause a civil war if the succession council does not name the chosen person. But if ruberta choses doge the greedy noble men and clergy might make a move to take power from the monarchy which is why cyl is the best choice because (a he is a adult (b he has significant prestige and skill from being the ruling monarch of one land for some time (c doge is a five year old and lacks both prestige and expertise and can be manipulated to serving the clergy and the nobles will.

What about cyl noble men can’t imagine that they would be significantly pleased by a foreign monarch attempting to take the throne while cyl is the a native ruler with a blood line native their land.

Happiness and authority are maxed in Methiant. Cydwyl is well enough off that their king can take a vacation. It is unlikely the conditions for a peaceful merger will this good when Doge comes of age.
