Spices sold for similar amounts, greatly dissappointing your merchants.

Meanwhile, you receive a visit from a large group of dwarves. They're of various castes; some are bald and gaudily clad, some have unkept hair and clothes. Some wear tatoos and have this cold, spaced-out look in their eyes. Most of them however, stand behind a single dwarf, wearing black and gold, with a square hat adorned with tiny strands of gold chain.

"Greetings, Empress of Methiant. I, Urbath Megalazor, and these skilled beards, have come on behalf of High King Stomar Tumbaladob. As his father made our view about your land a bit less savage, now the King has decided to extend a knot of cooperation. What is important, he has heard of monetary wealth of this land, and he would be pleased to have Methiantese gold and silver in his treasuries. Here we are, to offer our geomantic, earthcrafter and artificial services to you and your court."

As for artifact-making...

We Basically JUST got that Charisma Artifact from the sorceress, and still have not tried it out! As such we really should NOT Buy a new one off the dwarves(Who'll probably come around again and possibly melt whatever we get down around our neck...)
As well we've never really Gotten any other services from them before...

We can't afford another artifact, and although them STATIONING DWARVEN TROOPS WITHIN OUR BORDERS sounds... Totally cool. I don't think we need that either... We're just going to pay their upkeep until it's time for war.

I'm all for hiring dwarf prospectors, as that will likely lead to new income, but this is not the best time to be throwing money at fanciful dwarf stuff.
