I'm honestly surprised we don't have a gate to start with, it seems like a natural precaution to erect one when we first discovered the cave or while doing any of the improvements since.

You order that the old protective measures at the tunnel are to be replaced with heavy, seal-able gate made of heavy metals.

Once the messenger leaves with your orders, the astronomers come in.

"Gracious Empress! Thanks to our research, funded by you, we were able to come with a tremendous discovery!" They open up some charts and scrolls, and the head astronomer, Olwyn Enneinach, points to a a schematic of two dots with numbers and names and angles all about it.

"My Lady Empress, our world moves around our sun, not the other way as perceived before!"

A) Obviously they're lying. Everyone sees the sun circles the world!
B) Intriguing. Maybe they can tell me more?
C) They must be rewarded for their discovery. More funding to the House of Learning!
D) This is nice, now don't bother me with such trivia.

Wasn't knowing this actually pretty helpful for navigation and such? Admittedly I don't recall the practical significance of the discovery well. At the very least, I know it makes the prediction of celestial bodies much easier.
